I am not sure how best to hide from myself.
Maybe a phone call to somebody?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I wish you had some Legos right now. Building a Legos set can be very distracting.
Coloring books can be soothing as well. There's something primal and happy and waxy and gripping about it.
ita, I hope you're better this a.m.
lisah, lots of ~ma for your doggie.

My college housemates and I had a stack of coloring books that we'd get out when we were fighting with each other and needed to have some sort of discussion. We'd color away while we said our piece, and listened to the rest. We're all still friends, so it seems to have worked out.
I read once that there's a cargo cult in the South Pacific that believes Prince Phillip is the incarnation of their volcano god, moved awsay to marry the Empress of the World. One day he will return to them, scantily clad, bearing gifts of cigarettes and refrigerators.
They wrote to him once explaining this. He sent them an autographed picture of himself.
Anyone surpirsied I love these guys??
Where the hell is Victor when you need him?
I was thinking the same thing.
and I do not have words for how negative a psychological reaction I'm having.
Christ! Are they at least helping the migraines? Because if not, I'm not seeing a whole lot of upside to putting yourself through that.
Many HR departments for video game companies put up ads for things like Sound Designers but want them to have computer science degrees and be C++ programmers and the like. While those are nice skills, they are pretty ancillary to doing sound design for video games and disqualify a large quantity of brilliant artists who should be working in the market.
Yep, you see the same thing crop up in video editing. Ironic because the flip side is that it's so cheap now to turn a laptop into an edit station that many news organizations are cutting back on hiring editors and sending their writer/producers out on FCP and Avid Xpress training courses instead.
ita, I hope your brain is treating you better today.

Does anyone have an iron recommendations? I have a crappy broken iron at home that I have been putting off replacing because I like my work Rowenta so much, but I really don't want to spend over $100 on an iron. $30ish would be good. I really want something heavy, with adjustable steam, a spray and a surge button, and auto shut off. I want to note that I have been using this broken iron (does not steam, I need to spray water on my clothes instead) for about three years, but now my spraybottle is broken!
Sophia, look at ebay and craigslist for used ones. Also, if you have any sewing or quilting shops in town you might want to ask them if they know anyone selling a used one. I know my mom's quilt shops often know of used ones or even sell them for people. Lastly, does Rochester have a lot of estate sales? Workable small appliances are often very cheap at estate sales - it might not be a Rowenta, but for $10 or so maybe worth the risk of trying whatever is available.
