What is this work of which you speak?
I scrambled all week to update this ridiculously complex model that I was told was needed immediately and now no one will make time to review my results.
grrrrr
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

That lunch sounds fantastic, Dana.
I had a non-traditional po boy at the Ferry Building seafood place. Crab cake po boy with remoualde sauce. Yum! Also a cold beer and excellent cole slaw with it. Then I had the Jack Daniels gelato at Ciao Bella which was perfect. Very satisfying.
I emailed you, Frank!
Got it, and DAMN! Anyway, can you pick me up in Portland on the 5th? (KIDDING!!!! ............ mostly)
I had a nice caesar salad for lunch, and then two melty TimTams (they had been left in the car). I think it's naptime, and then I will install my new shades for the porch.
I think I may have reached a new personal level of Nerd-vana -- hearing thunder out here in the backyard, I reach for my laptop and check the updated radar map.
However, it IS thunder, so my lazy afternoon out on the patio is at an end.
I am eating chocolate peanut butter ice cream right now AIFG! Is over 100 outside. Melting.
It's 96 here, which is hella hot for Oakland. I'm hiding inside my house, which is cooler, but stinky. When the weather gets hot the old smell of cat pee comes back to life--this in a house that's been cat-free for eight years! Sigh.
I forgot that most people have to work today. . . so THAT'S why natter is so busy.
I'm going to have to rewatch my rewatch of Act of Contrition because I'm online instead.
Hey - there's a new term floating around out there - theophobia: [link]
I ended up having something steakish from Quizno's. I guess I mostly don't regret it. It was more peppery than was sensible, but there seems to be no harm done.
You do usually mention the birthday, don't you, Steph? I hope you didn't forget yours--just to mention mine. My GP pointed out today that weepiness isn't the only symptom of depression--lack of motivation is too, and I'm going to chalk some of forgetting something so basic up to that, since I think it's the first time I've forgotten it, and I sure knew yesterday was the 19th and Sunday the 22nd.
Toasty hot here too. And I have to run an outdoor work errand once I get off the phone.
