So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

It's 96 here, which is hella hot for Oakland. I'm hiding inside my house, which is cooler, but stinky. When the weather gets hot the old smell of cat pee comes back to life--this in a house that's been cat-free for eight years! Sigh.

Art Crawl!!!

I forgot that most people have to work today. . . so THAT'S why natter is so busy.

I'm going to have to rewatch my rewatch of Act of Contrition because I'm online instead.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I ended up having something steakish from Quizno's. I guess I mostly don't regret it. It was more peppery than was sensible, but there seems to be no harm done.

You do usually mention the birthday, don't you, Steph? I hope you didn't forget yours--just to mention mine. My GP pointed out today that weepiness isn't the only symptom of depression--lack of motivation is too, and I'm going to chalk some of forgetting something so basic up to that, since I think it's the first time I've forgotten it, and I sure knew yesterday was the 19th and Sunday the 22nd.

Toasty hot here too. And I have to run an outdoor work errand once I get off the phone.

No one seriously thinks EITHER of the Spears girls are a role model, do they?

Birth rates for girls aged 15 to 17 rose by 3% in 2006, the first increase since 1991, according to preliminary data released in December by the National Center for Health Statistics.

This trend was highlighted on Thursday when Britney Spears' 17-year-old sister Jamie Lynn, star of a popular television show Zoey 101, gave birth to a baby girl, according to People magazine.

Isn't Winston the bulldog puppy cute?

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I don't see how bulldogs are cute, puppy or not.

They all look like Winston Churchill. So not cute.

I want a dove dark chocolate ice cream bar. I wonder how many weight watchers points that would be.
