My good news is that my boss has apparently beaten an approval out of our useless HR person. Why she couldn't respond to any of my communications (email or voicemail) is a mystery, but I should be able to hire my new person on Tuesday!!!

I love it!!!
I'm making dinner for my best friend tonight. For her birthday present I gave her a special thing to do together every month for the next year(like go out to dinner etc.) so tonight it June's special night. I'm making roasted beet salad w/ a gorgonzola dressing, a sort of potato/tarragon gratin, baked ham steak, mashed peas w/ mint, and strawberries w/ cream for dessert.
Tomorrow is busy busy busy and then we have a show with our favorite ukeleleist tomorrow night. Sunday my folks are coming for brunch at my house and before that I'm going for a long run/walk.
It's possible I overscheduled. Again.
