I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I've had a few A- students try to challenge their grades. Doesn't tend to get them much sympathy.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I had one of those this semester, too. I had to say no five times before she stopped asking.

It's an A-Minus! Clearly her future medical career is at stake.

I'm watching the TV Land Awards. Did anyone else watch this? It's bizarre. The opening sequence is stars of old TV shows (Doc from Love Boat, Beaver Cleaver, Nellie Olsen, Greg Brady, Gary Coleman, and a few others), dressed as their characters, hanging over the crowd on flying aparatus while Vanessa Williams sings "I'm Flying" from Peter Pan.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

So a co-worker of mine went the TV Land Awards and told me the next day, "Gee when my friend who was supposed to go with me backed out I should have called you instead of just going by myself. You would have been so much more in your element than I was."

Doh!

From Conservapedia's examples of liberal bias on wikipedia [link]

Mathematicians on Wikipedia distort and exaggerate Wiles' proof of Fermat's Last Theorem by (i) concealing how it relied on the controversial Axiom of Choice and by (ii) omitting the widespread initial criticism of it.

I've read some interesting arguments about the Axiom of Choice, but I've never thought about it as a liberal or conservative issue.

Ha! They're giving Gary Marshall an award and showing clips of a bunch of the shows he's worked on. The clip of Happy Days was Fonzie jumping the shark.

Swouncing

Skipping as-usual-sigh to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is PMM's birthday.

Happy birthday, Plei! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Also, since I may not have any computer access until then, Saturday, the 21st, will be EpicTangent's birthday, so early wishes for her, as well!

Happy Birthday, Plei!

Hi, Nilly!

I am on a totally weird sleep schedule. Need to fix that soon, since my Mom's coming to visit me this weekend, and she'll be worried if I'm tired during the day.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Plei!!!!
