Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Thanks everyone. I just needed to vent my frustration, kinda like Emmett, who is, even at his worst, one of the most amazing kids in the world.

If I weren't such a slacker and it wouldn't cost me so damned much because of lack of planning and long-term leasing keeping the rent down, I wouldn't renew.

Can you maneuver this into a shorter term lease, maybe? Be like "I don't have faith you will fix this, because of your past inaction. Therefore I want you to let me have a three month lease at the year renewal rate, RIGHT THE FUCK NOW"

I've thought about that. But it doesn't give me any bargaining power. Now, I will mention that my lease is up for renewal even if I'm not going to make good on the threat to leave.

And despite my scorched earthiness? I'm their best kind of tenant. The only problems I cause are a reaction to their problems.

For all my bluster, I'm too inclined to give second chances out of wanting to avoid a huge change. Even as I know I'm going to get burned.

Well, but then you could look for a house sooner, rather than in a year, right? :)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

sara - you should really at least try to use this to negotiate a shorter renewal, maybe 6 mos. kinda like what Allyson is a rockstar about doing - "OK this thing you promised and I pay for was not delivered, so what are you giving me for FREE, right NOW!"

mac is totally fine. I am pretty sure that he is just processing that nothing bad happened from 1) the statement being made and 2) someone who is not me knowing about angry mac. That can only lead to good things. And for his troubles and stress, he got a pokemon pencil which he is currently clutching.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, it reminds me of how worried he was at the mention that you were maybe not his first mother. Sweet baby boy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

"OK this thing you promised and I pay for was not delivered, so what are you giving me for FREE, right NOW!"

I'm annoyed at myself for never getting anything from the cable company for those weeks I didn't have all the channels.

There's a kid in my neighborhood having an Emmett kind of day. I can hear the shouting from my deck. (Including the bit that makes me think back to my brother's young days: RANT RANT RANT RANT RANT IT'S NOT FUNNY! RANT RANT RANT RANT)

Ooh, that reminds me. Have to call Direct TV tomorrow to get credited for those two weeks I was out.
