The status is NOT quo.

I thought Dylan's birthday was tomorrow?

{{quester}} ~ma for your family.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

{{{quester}}}, all the best to your family. Safety for now, recovery as soon as it can happen.

Since my last post I've been lying on the basement floor in between the wall and the futon, hanging out with my sick cat. This rock and roll lifestyle is going to kill me.

Wow, I am impressed with Emmett, I have to say, to figure it all out.

The status is NOT quo.

{{{Emmett and Hec and JZ and EM}}}

What a day! I'm glad it sounds like you're at least on the track to a resolution.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Dog is home, and she is glistening. It almost hurts to look at her.

Not quite as expensive as I remembered, but almost. $60, plus $20 extra for the serious de-shedding because her coat is so thick. Ouch, but also, totally worth it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought Dylan's birthday was tomorrow?

It is, but you know how people are.

That's some severe articulation on Emmett's part, and some ability on EM's part to get it out of him. quester, I hope it all is of little event to you and yours.

So I came home to no note and no a/c. I'm afraid I went a little scorched earth. Found one person in the office, she didn't know anything. Found a contractor working in the complex, he had no ticket for my unit.

Keep in mind I reported this Wednesday night, thursday morning, friday morning and at 9 am today I was assured it would be the first thing the contractor did.

Called the emergency maintenance line and fimly but angrily laid it all out. Oddly enough, the woman at the call center was the same one I talked to LAST YEAR. A local maintenance guy comes out with freon. I sigh. Find out the unit, the one year old unit, is on the REPLACEMENT LIST.

Anyway. It's putting out coolER air, but I expect it won't last. It should be putting out something cooler than 75. It is drying things out, which helps some. I pulled more scorched earth when the guy tried to convince me that 75 was good. Oh bullshit, man. I ONLY signed the ticket after I made him let me leave a note about providing me with detailed status reports.

It's just... you know, I know things sometimes break. And I get it can take time to fix them. But just do not promise me something and don't deliver. And if it's outside of your control to keep the promise, TELL ME. Especially if you've put me through this grinder before. I will go nuclear.

I knew, KNEW I was going to come home to this bullshit. If I weren't such a slacker and it wouldn't cost me so damned much because of lack of planning and long-term leasing keeping the rent down, I wouldn't renew. 15 days with family visits coming up is simply not enough time to move for me.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Thanks everyone. I just needed to vent my frustration, kinda like Emmett, who is, even at his worst, one of the most amazing kids in the world.

Can you maneuver this into a shorter term lease, maybe? Be like "I don't have faith you will fix this, because of your past inaction. Therefore I want you to let me have a three month lease at the year renewal rate, RIGHT THE FUCK NOW"
