Here is me 15 years ago (in holey jeans, just to remain on topic)
Cute! those jeans are so totally from 1993! (and you remain younger than me so, NOT OLD!)
Some people are irrational about this-- if that is the Erin post I am thinking of, someone in the comments said that syphilis was found on the TSA mats, implying that flip flop wearers are in danger of contracting syphilis through their feet.
jesus. people. I bet those are the kind of people who hover over clean public toilet seats (thus getting them wet and ruining it for normal people).
I have to say that I looked pretty freaking cute in the outfit I wore on the plane going from SF to Chicago last weekend.
And I'm sure it was appreciated appropriately!
I wouldn't wear flip flops on a plane because my feet get cold.
I also don't wear heels on a plane because my feet get cold and unless I'm wearing tights, my feet are bare in heels. Also, I read something about not being in nylons (or most synthetic fabrics) and heels when planes go down in a flaming wreck. Sure if my plane crashes I have other issues. But on the off chance that I survive, I don't want to either puncture the little slide to get out with cute stilletos nor do I want to deal with burns due to synthetic fabrics.
Perhaps I am overthinking this?
What's funny, flea, is that not only do you not look very different, I swear that other girl in the picture (who's ID'd) looks really familiar (except her name is not).
I fly most weeks, these days. Jeans work for me. (Though yes, it's with a nice top, because often I have to mix and match for the rest of the trip with my business casual clothes)
My head hurts. Not quite a headache. Certainly not a migraine. Yet. I am debating whether I should take meds (which are running out, and expensive), or just hope it does not blossom into a migraine.

Very true, for it will melt and encase you in flame-y fabric. Leather is bad as well, due to the shrinkage issue. Flat boots or shoes - always good.
And I am with the people whose feet get cold and who do not want nylons melting over their legs on the off chance they are in a miraculous crash that does not just kill them right off the bat.
And I'm sure it was appreciated appropriately!
Heck yeah it was!
I have the cold feet on the plane issue too. I must wear socks and shoes.

I put a pair of socks in my carry on for such a reason.
Relatedly, I heard a rumor we might get Casual Fridays here, and I immediately thought I would need to buy new clothes, because most of my scrubbing-around-on-the-weekend clothes aren't nice enough for work, I don't think.
