Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also from grad school, The Take. That shit was bananas.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Office Space is the ultimate.

Baby Mamma has been bailed out. Liv's taking a nap and Owen's watching Wallace & Grommit. I'm watching the delivery guys unload my new table & chairs.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Maxed Out (about credit card company business, and will scare the bejesus out of them, re: credit card debt).

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Barbarians at the Gate, the one with James Garner.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

shrift in DC? I hadn't been aware of this! (bring cool clothes - it's hotter than, well, you know - and a warm sweater because most places are airconditioned to the frigid level)

I seriously need to bring a sweater into the office for the summer -- it's so freaking cold in here! Unnecessary!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

My office is the same way. I bring a sweater, and then forget one day and take it home, and then am freezing to the point of unproductive the next day when I'm sweaterless. And then I remember to bring my sweater back to repeat the whole cycle. Life is much harder when there's no longer anyone to safety-pin notes to the back of your shirt after school.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's finally below 90 degrees here in DC. And of course, as usual, my building's air conditioning is horrible. In a studio apartment, I've got two air conditioning units and a fan on, and the temp in here is around 75. That's about as low as I can get it.

The good thing about CSAs: Fresh vegetables! In season! And it feels like free, because I paid for them in March! The bad thing: washing the dirt off the leafy greens takes forever. I just put the pac choi through four changes of water before it seemed clean enough.

Right?!? I finally managed to pay my rent yesterday after ten days of going "Oh! I need to do that!" right at the wrong times.

shrift in DC? I hadn't been aware of this!

I'm going to a convention in Silver Spring and won't really have any free time, otherwise I'd be demanding that the DCistas wine and dine me.
