am back from vacationing. Got in from Chicago (OMG BLEW MY MIND!) at 11 and couldn't fall asleep until after 3. The only thing that is keeping me at work now (aside from the needing the paycheck of course) is the fact that this place is airconditioned and my home is very much not. am so very tired.
Meeting buffistas for brunch in SF was a total highlight, btw and OF COURSE!

How come people in movies and TV shows always hail cabs by putting up their hand and shouting, "Taxi!" Does the shouting actually do anything? I can't imagine that the cab driver could hear someone shouting over all the other street noises. And I don't think I've ever heard anyone shout "Taxi!" like that in real life.
