Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was supposed to take the pain stuff half an hour after, but I was so fried that I never made it that far. How odd.

So, aside from trying to Do Stuff, that sounds like a plus? Hard to tell.

Weirdly, I haven't heard thunder here.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

that link was aww inducing, Consuela.

wow, ita. weird that anti-nausea meds can have that kind of effect. the human body is an odd thing.

so, i ended up going to the movie and B&N and my parent's place. it was a good night. i need to stop being such a baby about going places alone. any time i do it i realize it's really not so bad.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Why can I not find anywhere to buy pectin? The only place I've found is Amazon, but the shipping costs more than the product does.

The kind of pectin you use to make jelly?

Yep, the kind used to make jelly. The Safeway at the Watergate doesn't have it. The Whole Foods in Dupont Circle doesn't have it. The Safeway in Georgetown might, but getting there is enough of a pain that I might as well just buy it online. I just found a way to get it on Amazon that qualifies for the Super Saver shipping, though.

I know it's often in unlikely places in grocery stores. It also shows up in old-fashioned hardware stores, but you probably don't have one of those nearby.

I ordered it online. Might take a few weeks to get here, but since I've never canned anything before, I might as well try some of the recipes that are just fruit in syrup first, and save jelly for once I'm sure I've figured out canning. Going to go to the farmers market tomorrow to see what sorts of fruit is in season.

Only a US citizen can have a US passport, right? Let's say a certain agency of the US govt. wants to give a non-US citizen permission to enter the US (what a passport does) and this person has no country of residence to give her a passport

Huh...there's gotta be ways for people who end up as refugees, or born in camps and stuff, but I know that can be a huge problem for them, if they are born without a country, technically. For example. I'd definitely say Stephanie might be your best Buffista bet for answering this question!

ita, that's madness! I'm kinda wishing you had posted though, it sounds like you'd have made some interesting posts!
