What I'm doing this weekend: other than the usual (intend to clean on Friday night, do laundry, work at the bookstore on Saturday, intend to clean Saturday night), I'm going to the blood center to donate platelets on Sunday. My stepmother had a relatively routine surgery on Tuesday that was made slightly less routine by a deficiency of platelets in her bloodstream, so they had to pump a considerable amount into her.
LifeSource has been on my case for months now to come in and give platelets again (I was last in about a year ago), and I am now sufficiently guilted into going. Here's hoping they don't screw with my needle like last time, so that they end up tossing everything out.
Weekend: I'm not sure as I thought I was going to have to work but now don't have to. One thing I know I'm not doing is homework - yesterday was my last day of the quarter! Woot! However, I have only 2 weeks of freedom before I start my summer school class :(
I get an office to myself again, at least for the summer, starting on Monday!
And not a day too soon, since otherwise I'd have to start plotting the murder of Chatty New Intern.
shrift, you totally rickrolled me.
Ahahaha. Sorry! (That'll learn you to mouse over the URL, mister! Have we learned nothing from ita's links?)
Now I feel like a bad wife. Because I
totally
moused over shrift's links and saw the URLs, and thought, "Man, is Hec going to be disappointed," and then said nothing to him at all.

What a great story.

Have I not explained to you about the glare in my umbrella farm of cubicles?
I can barely see the pointer much less read the mouseover links.
eta:
You totally owe me pictures now! Angled bob! Bling! Make it so.

The race for recent Congressman Vito Fossella's seat is now getting a new addition--Frank Powers, Jr. will be running as a Libertarian against his GOP father, Frank Powers, Sr. [link]
The Staten Island Advance reports that the younger Powers, age 47, announced he is running as a Libertarian in order to stop his father from getting elected and being able to help further Republican policies. "I'm not going to say that my dad treated me bad when I was a kid," Fran Powers said. "I know his policies. I'm running against someone I know."
Powers Sr., needless to say, is taken aback by this development. "I've tried very hard for many years to help my son," he said in a statement. "Unfortunately, he's rejected everyone's help to live a healthy lifestyle."
So I'm at that point when I realize this thing that sort of should be in today will not get done unless I stay late. Which I could do and get it done, but I sort promised myself that I. Would. Stop. That.
My boss has been out all week and so naturally I have still accomplished way more than normal.
So, do I do as much as I can on this one thing and leave the rest for Monday, or spend my remaining time cleaning up picky little details that will add to my what-I-got-done-while-you-were-gone list?
