"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Now pictureing the blood pooling in the stomach with, like, the blooming onions and weetibix... and it is really disgusting.

Don't forget the buffalo wings.

I wish I had a donut.

But you're OK without any root?

What are people's weekend plans?

Meeting a couple I know for dinner and beers at Redbones tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I will see Mother of Tears (and possibly The Fall or Stuck). I was going to go to the first show today, but laziness and a downpour put the kibosh on that plan. Hopefully also having brunch with a friend from Maine on Sunday (and maybe see Iron Man).

There's a lot of "hopefully" in my plans. Sadly, that doesn't usually work out.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Before I forget, I just wanna say that this morning's discussion of the physiology of vampire kink took me to a misty nostalgic BtVS-still-on-the-air place. Snif.

On the AV Club's TV Club, they're recapping Buffy from the beginning over the summer, which is nostalgia-making: [link] (unlike TWoP, they're one-pagers, not full recaps). They're also recapping Newsradio, XF, MSCL and I forget what else.

Saturday I have part 2 of the Catholic wedding prep. It's seven hours of lecture. About natural family planning. In the basement of a church. Without A/C. And I deeply, deeply resent the church's position on this. So I got that going on.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I want to go to the MoCCA with Tom.

What I'm actually doing is working and going to a baby shower.

Bad Wolf

I'm on call for work this weekend. Stupid pager. So I'll be sitting at home watching TV, or hopefully actually unpacking the new apartment and de-packratting myself.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

This weekend I am working by day and hanging out with my visiting sister by night. Well, on Saturday. Sunday will likely involve Soundbites for breakfast and family stuff that springs up around sister visit.

Wanna see $1.4 billion crash and explode? Video: Stealth Bomber Crashes

On takeoff from Andersen Air Force Base, the $1.4 billion plane abruptly "pitched up, rolled and yawed to the left before plunging to the ground," the AP describes. The reason why: "Water distorted preflight readings in three of the plane's 24 sensors, making the aircraft's control computer force the B-2 to pitch up on takeoff, resulting in a stall and subsequent crash." Luckily, "both pilots ejected safely just after the left wing made contact with the ground in the first crash since the maiden B-2 flights nearly 20 years ago." Check out the video, and you'll see just how fortunate the pilots were to make it out.

Video shows one normal takeoff, then the crash takeoff....
