"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I want to go to the MoCCA with Tom.

What I'm actually doing is working and going to a baby shower.

Bad Wolf

I'm on call for work this weekend. Stupid pager. So I'll be sitting at home watching TV, or hopefully actually unpacking the new apartment and de-packratting myself.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

We were talking about this in Natter, right? Ed McMahon Explains Foreclosure: Spending, Divorce, Health Problems

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

This weekend I am working by day and hanging out with my visiting sister by night. Well, on Saturday. Sunday will likely involve Soundbites for breakfast and family stuff that springs up around sister visit.

Wanna see $1.4 billion crash and explode? Video: Stealth Bomber Crashes

On takeoff from Andersen Air Force Base, the $1.4 billion plane abruptly "pitched up, rolled and yawed to the left before plunging to the ground," the AP describes. The reason why: "Water distorted preflight readings in three of the plane's 24 sensors, making the aircraft's control computer force the B-2 to pitch up on takeoff, resulting in a stall and subsequent crash." Luckily, "both pilots ejected safely just after the left wing made contact with the ground in the first crash since the maiden B-2 flights nearly 20 years ago." Check out the video, and you'll see just how fortunate the pilots were to make it out.

Video shows one normal takeoff, then the crash takeoff....

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I'm on call for work this weekend. Stupid pager.

Are you a doctor and/or a drug dealer?

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Weekend:

Tonight DH and I have to help out with the graduation for the next class ahead of Annabel--IOW, the ones who are going to kindergarten in the fall. I'm feeling cross and cranky about this, which probably means I have no magic in my heart or something, but I've had a long week and I'm tired and I just want to go home and relax.

Saturday my local RWA chapter is meeting, but I'm probably going to skip it, since the topic isn't that relevant to my current non-romance writing. Haircut Saturday afternoon. And hopefully getting a good night's sleep or two somewhere in there. (Did I mention it's been a long week?)

No P-C, I work in Healthcare IT. If for some reason a doctor can not get his order in to a Drug Dealer, thats where I come in.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Do people not know that IT folk are often chained with pagers? I'm surprised by how often they're still considered the purview of doctors and drug dealers, although all my employers have tried to shackle me with one.

This week has been very long, but on the upside I'll be making it into work every day, which is huge.

Someone sent me this as a picture of Shia LaBeouf for my website. Freaky manip, no? How can you even think not?
