There's some Buffy academic conference going on in Arkansas right now. FYI.
I wish I had a donut.

For those who can't wait to get to heaven, here's a map: 283 – Heaven Is An Amusement Park That Never Closes
Bigger picture of map: [link]
I assume it's parody.
Evil is not completely out of view in this Heaven: in fact, the Damned Viewer (10) allows you to visually check up on “Adolf Hitler, your philandering boss, the smug atheist next door and all the vile people you hate” get their comeuppance in the ‘other’, decidedly less amusing place. Maybe in Hell there’s a similar viewer, showing the Throne of God and Jesus (11) and the place where people can line up to sit, as if he were a giant Santa, on God’s lap.
Someone tell me to get to work.
Because I find it difficult, when I can't be sure that all of you know about Sugar Bush Squirrel, The World’s Most Photographed Squirrel.
Actual site: [link]
Being an International Superstar and The World's Most Photographed Squirrel, Sugar Bush loves to dress up, and has over 2,000 outfits with matching hats and accessories. Sugar Bush Squirrel has her own, posh studio with an elaborate stage and thousands of stage props, and has posed for over 5,000 photos since her modeling career began.
eta: Sugar Bush dresses up to illustrate real news stories. For example, the assassination of Benazir Bhutto....
eta²: Ok, this is just... words fail me.
As Saddam Hussein was sweating it out in his cell reflecting on the heinous crimes he had committed, Sugar Bush Squirrel was volunteering for sentry duty and inspecting the gallows before the punishment was finally carried out. Hussein was hanged in Iraq, December 30, 2006.

Oh man, my whole office has been obsessed with that site for the last few days. We all have it as our desktops. Mine is Fidel Squirrel.
tommy - get to work.
I have oatmeal and hope the mood of doom will be gone shortly,
Now pictureing the blood pooling in the stomach with, like, the blooming onions and weetibix... and it is really disgusting.
Don't forget the buffalo wings.
I wish I had a donut.
But you're OK without any root?
What are people's weekend plans?
Meeting a couple I know for dinner and beers at Redbones tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I will see Mother of Tears (and possibly The Fall or Stuck). I was going to go to the first show today, but laziness and a downpour put the kibosh on that plan. Hopefully also having brunch with a friend from Maine on Sunday (and maybe see Iron Man).
There's a lot of "hopefully" in my plans. Sadly, that doesn't usually work out.
Before I forget, I just wanna say that this morning's discussion of the physiology of vampire kink took me to a misty nostalgic BtVS-still-on-the-air place. Snif.
On the AV Club's TV Club, they're recapping Buffy from the beginning over the summer, which is nostalgia-making: [link] (unlike TWoP, they're one-pagers, not full recaps). They're also recapping Newsradio, XF, MSCL and I forget what else.
Saturday I have part 2 of the Catholic wedding prep. It's seven hours of lecture. About natural family planning. In the basement of a church. Without A/C. And I deeply, deeply resent the church's position on this. So I got that going on.
