You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I loved that book, Bellwether. It actually changed my view of the world.

So far today I've stopped at the grocery store for some frozen oatmeal, come to work and eaten said oatmeal, and fretted too much over the Universal Studios fire.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Back from the beach! It was FABULOUS! We took pictures!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I was at work and now I am sitting in the car wash parking lot. I don't think it counts as enjoying the nice weather even if I am outside. After a TJs run I am going to sit on the balconey a bit I think.

Our wings are not tired.

Jess, those sunny pictures of Dylan have made me cheer up a bit (I am both cranky and sad and stuck in an airport for hours). Thank you. He's a handsome little guy. And almost a year old!!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Those Dylan pictures are gorgeous.

Ugh. Just got back to DC. Well, technically, I got back to DC over an hour ago, but I just got back to my apartment, since first I tried to take a cab from the train station, but it looks like the threatened cab strike may have happened, because there were practically no cabs out there and the cab line was ridiculously long. So I went to the metro instead, but there was an accident, so all the trains were delayed. Took about an hour to go what usually takes maybe 25 minutes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I dragged myself to CPR training. I'd thought the new anti-inflammatories were working better, but NSM. It's funny how the migraines make me look like not a morning person.

Interesting training though, especially in contrast to last time. Turns out this trainer wouldn't do the breathing bit on a stranger without a barrier--if she wouldn't, the pitching of hands-only seems a good idea.

This week's Taboo is about people who self mutilate for their religion. Which turns out to be about submitting to pain. I think that gets deleted as soon as this post is posted.

And then there will be popcorn.

Thank you! And boo to airports and their cranky-making ways.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

So far made curried lentil/chicken/couscous for the next two days' dinner: finishing in the slow cooker. Did a load of laundry. Am working on finishing up a powerpoint.
