Good egg indeed.
Ali, when did you want to see the movie?

Sunday morning? Or I could do Friday evening. But I prefer an AMC theater on Sunday morning with $6 tickets. Because I am frugal.
Kat, I'll be thinking good thoughts for your father's surgery tomorrow.
Sunday morning works for me in that it lessens the chances of me having gotten a headache yet.
Also, my mom hit a deer which messed up her car. Sigh.
Oof, Kat, sorry about the stress on the fam.
I really thought my mother had taken care of the deer quota for all the buffista mothers. At one point she had hit 4 in three years. A combination of where she lives, lots of night driving and the fact that SHE CAN'T SEE FOR SHIT.
Fortunately, she's never been seriously injured. She is, ironically, allergic to venison. The deer are out to get her. One way or another.
much ~ma for your family, Kat
Neat, ita! I'm a huge fan of pain-free mornings, for sure. I'll call on Saturday to coordinate.
Holy shit - long day.
We won our playoff game in nine innings which is three extra for Little League.
We played without two of our best players and had to drag a kid into uniform who had a very bruised thumb just to field a team.
Close game and we were down 3 to 1 going into our last at bat.
Their pitcher had dominated but he'd used up all his pitch count. The new pitcher was wild. Struck out the first batter. Walked one. Walked a second one. Wild pitch and they moved up to second and third. Another wild pitch and the guy on third scored, and the ball hit the backstop so hard it bounced back into the infield. The guy on second kept running hard (on his own initiative) and slid into home. The throw beat him but he slid into the glove and knocked it out.
Totally crazy play that tied the game and sent it into extra innings.
Bottom of the seventh, they have the game winning run at third and their batter hits a hard shot at Emmett playing short. He fields it cleanly, throws to first for the out and that saves the game.
Top of the ninth and our leadoff hitter reaches on an error. Emmett walks. I warn him not to slide going into second so they don't have an easy double play. Batter hits a chopper right up the middle - the shortstop fields it cleanly. It's a perfect double play ball, but Emmett goes in standing up and blocks the double play. They only get the force at second.
Then our manager's son comes up and hits a mammoth blast. I think it was higher than a four story building. Three runs score.
Now we just have to hold them and get three outs.
First batter, screaming line drive right into our third baseman's glove.
Second batter, hard hit liner into right-center field. Our guy with the injured thumb races a long way and makes the catch (which is obviously painful).
Next batter, hits a flare shot into no-man's land in short left field. Emmett races over from shortstop, hustles hard, leaps for it and...just misses it. The runner winds up second. Moves to third. Comes around to score. And then our pitcher strikes out the last batter and we've got our come back win with a very gritty game by our not-star players making the difference.
And yeah, this was against the team who called us morons in the email kerfuffle so it was just a wee bit sweet.
Tonight's ep of Criminal Minds was one with the suicidal college student who kills so that the serial killer suspect could be freed because she wants him to kill her. Is that Mandy's last ep? I'm guessing we're to think suicide, right?
Cash, your mother sounds like a Far Side cartoon.
Cool, Ali.
Off to bed. 7am meeting.
I think he was also in the second episode, ita. Sort of. IIRC, he's "missing" and then Reid finds a letter from him at the end.
