Yeah. It's been an unreal week. But not as stressful as least year, oddly. My poor mother, though. With last year's stress from me. Then my sister getting cancer. Now my dad with his surgery. The deer. My brother not being able to sell his house.

Poor woman.

Also, I don't want to go back to sub. Please don't make me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I used to wonder if it was a warm weather thing. If you are in warm tropical climes, showering at night is a relief before sleep

Not so in Jamaica. Showering at night would be unheard of. Well, unless you were going to shower again in the morning anyway. Because you'd get sweaty again. I remember the exultation of family upon moving to the UK when they worked out they could shower in advance.

An hour ago I was all set to make myself dinner and then I took a phone call and the passage of time had done my appetite no favours. Wanted to be healthy, dammit.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Also, my mom hit a deer which messed up her car. Sigh.

Right, because your family NEEDS more stress. Sheesh!

I'll be sending lots of cardiac-ma to your dad tomorrow (my dad doesn't seem to need it these days, and it's apparently very powerful cardiac-ma, given how well my dad bounces back). Keep us posted, will you?

I will.

My parents were set up with a trip out here july 8-12. I'm guessing that won't be happening. My dad STILL hasn't been out to see the twins, so he can't die yet because he can't go without meeting them both.

Right, because your family NEEDS more stress. Sheesh!

No shit! Seconding Steph's sentiments, though no cardiac issues of late in mine.

Showering in the am became habit because of my HAIR. Serious bedhead. As a wee one, I ate cereal as my dad untied the knots I'd twisted in my hair. Once I got around to taking care of it myself, the morning showers became a thing. And now I'm accustomed to it. Plus, I'm an oily and sweaty personage. Even if I've showered the night before, I wake up marinating. I get really warm (like babies do) halfway through sleeptime and then my follicles get all active and....shower in the morning, please.

eta: yeah, your dad needs to see the twins. So he'll be fine, damnit.

So much diversity.

I take baths more frequently because it's much easier to bathe with Noah than to bathe Noah.

I'm tired. I meant to make liese some brownies tonight and to do the dishes. But I'm watching the Stanley Cup presentation.

The goalie for the Redwings looks SO MUCH LIKE WALLACE. I wonder if he has a grommit at home?

Our wings are not tired.

I'll be keeping your father in my thoughts, Kat.

If you are in warm tropical climes, showering at night is a relief before sleep.

Night showers or going for a swim before bed is a lifesaver for me. So much more comfortable for sleeping. During the years that we had a hot tub outside DH and I would always take at least a few minutes before bed to sit outside in the tub and have a drink to relax. I still have to shower in the morning for decent hair. My father was the odd one. He always showered before dinner.

HAR!

Did you know that Kristen Bell called him hotter than Brad Pitt?

Quote: "Chris Osgood was my first crush. Brad Pitt be damned, he had nothing on Osgood's rookie skill and sad eyes."

But I'm watching the Stanley Cup presentation.

I feel so bad for Fleury, that little French Canadian elf.

Hotter than brad pitt? I dunno about that. But that's a pretty cute quote.

My tum hurts. Unsurprising as I think new job is ulcer-riffic. It's hellish to take over this late in the game a group of kids how have had no structure at all.

I need serenity like whoa.

I only watched the last 15. Sigh. I have a soft spot for all teams Pittsburgh.
