ION, I now have absolutely no idea when Emmett's game is, or whether he and Hec will be coming home anytime before July.
Game's at 5:30. Over by 7:30 then we BART home so should arrive between 8:45 and 9:00 depending on how lucky we get with Muni.

I love my morning showers, but I have the darnedest time getting myself together enough to actually go take one. Once I'm in, I really can't understand why it took so much emotional effort to get moving towards that moment.
This is me. Though if it weren't for the hair thing, I could be drawn to the dark (evening) side.
Something in my ablutions triggers a headache these days, so it's no longer the relaxing/revitalising experience it once was. So I vary on night/morning--if it's morning I also have to factor in some lie-down time with one.
As for baths vs. showers, I don't bathe without showering first. Showers normally calm and invigorate me, but the bath erases the invigorate and redoubles the calming.
Thanks for the dance notation answers, guys. I knew it needed to exist. Now I'm wondering about how it is/can be applied to the martial arts. Or if they're too different. So many little details to worry about.
And that thing about taking down a tennis game is going to bother me for a little while. Stats whores would love it--and there's no shortage of stats whores, if imagination servers.
I just wish it was a universal signal to waiters that if you turn your coffee cup upside down on the saucer not to bother you asking if you want coffee.
Do you get backed into that position all that often? I don't drink coffee except at home, and don't recall having to fend it off.
(I found one spoiler which, if it's true, is so inane and ludicrous that it's pure comedy gold.)
I know! Did you see the script review? It's seriously stupider than The Village. I'm freakishly excited about it.
ION... there was a big storm and power was knocked out at work. The storm passed, the power remained out. I left at 4:00.
I got home at 5. Which doesn't seem bad, but my commute is about 7 miles.
Getting out of the parking lot took 15 minutes because of the idiots who needed to make 25 other cars wait so that they could try to make a left out of the lot instead of just turning right and going around the damn block. Which would have been faster for them, too. I HATE THOSE PEOPLE SO MUCH. I finally got to a place where I could get around them and went to a different exit where you have to turn right.
Then 30 minutes to get... let's see...two miles? up to 355, because that's the major road for local commuters and I knew even if the signals were out there, they'd have cops directing traffic. Which they did. So I hit 355 at quarter of, and was home 15 minutes later.
I do have to give credit to we few, we happy few, who tried to enforce the "if power's out, treat a signaled intersection as a four way stop" rule. Because there actually were some and usually there aren't. If there is a god, we are the ones who will be raptured and the left-turning jerks will burn in hell.
Until I left college I was a very morning showery person, despite not being a very morningy person. Once I started working in the field though, I had to shower straight after work, what with the layers of muck and dust attahced to my person. And once I'd started doing that, I couldn't stop, even though I work in an office like a normal person now. It aslo helps that I only have to get up ten minutes before I leave the house.
Any spelling mistakes in teh above I ascribe to the numerous bottles of wine my coworkers and I consumed this evening. Sorry.

Meara & Javachik - I totally want to hear about your trips.
omg what a day. Though I didn't have to run... so many other people saw this project for vapor this time that my work was done for me. suh-weet.
also? google adsense can kiss my fanny.
With showers, I go both ways. There was a time that I couldn't go to bed without showering. If I treid, I would just lie there feeling gross and inevitably end up in the shower in the middle of the night. Now, the issue for me is that my hair is so fine and tending to greasiness, that if I shower the night before, it's greasy by the time I get home from work, and I can't stand the feeling.

I grew up in a house with one bathroom that had a clawfoot tub and no shower. So baths for me are all about getting clean and getting out. I don't find them relaxing at all.
Happy Birthday Dana!
