Jayne: Here's a little concept I been workin' on. Why don't we shoot her first? Wash: It is her turn.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Erin job! Yay! If you need some advice on the journalism side, I was a newspaper reporter and editor and a university student publications adviser.

So, #1 on speed dial, then?! Seriously, that's so good to know. I was thinking there would be some 'ffistas that would have some j-cred.

Sparky, that's too bad! Wasn't it you that loves a good limey gimlet like I do?

Edit: Hey, Hec-help, too! Awesome...

Yeah women who are taller and have deeper voices get more respect in college, but the students always pay more respect to men. That used to bug me, but then one day I said fuck it, I'll MAKE them respect me, and it worked.

Yeah, I'm short and high-voiced, but I have worked out a serious stone-cold killer stare, and I walk like I'll stab you in the nuts with my little heels, so after a few weeks of taking no bullshit, there's a trickle-down.

Plus, I'm funny! It's hard to want to stab a teacher that makes you laugh.

“Not dead yet!”

My brain, she is tapioca after conference and cross-country travel. But yay, Erin on the job! I love Ginger's phrases to get you through the journo classes.

Photos from SF have started trickling in and I've discovered that a) pinks/burgundies/purples are indeed my colors and b) I seriously need to lay off the peanut butter M&Ms.

Cleans up okay

You were on Today, right. Barab? I just read about it, a bit, in Smart Bitches!

Oops, stove.

Yay, Erinjob! That's got to feel very, very good.

Barb, you look gorgeous in that dress! The colors, the shape, your hair, you're rocking it all!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

(((Ginger))) Feel better soon.

Yay, new job Erin!

Home from vacation. Ordered wedding bands today. Very tired.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I came home to find a big box of clothes from Stephanie for Matilda.

It's always cool knowing she's wearing cute things from Elle and Casper.

Matilda dug into the box immediately and tried on a new dress and jacket (with holly on it? cherries?) and a sweater. Just layered up and grabbed JZ's hand and dragged her outside to show it off.

We had Emmett's friend Jack over last night. He's been bugging us for a sleepover because he's totally enamored with Matilda. He wants a little sister so bad. Anyway, they played with her for hours yesterday until she conked out.

When I picked her up today she asked, "Obbie?" And I had to tell her, no, Obbie was with his mom (Emmie). "Zhack?" she inquired hopefully.

Ackackack. Man, little sisters & big brothers can be so heartmelting. A best friend has a 3 y.o. daughter and a 15 y.o. stepson. The kids' devotion to each other completely does me in. It's lovely to see it is at least not an unknown phenom. Me & my brother were never that nice to each other in our youth, but we were much closer in age.
