Hil, I've done both and I'm good at hs and college, deadly at middle. Not enough patience in the world, and I am much more patient than I was 3 years ago.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Erin, that's fabulous! GO YOU!
See, I've worked with fifth graders in New Orleans, and grades five through eight at CTY, and I really loved both of those. I haven't done much other than tutoring with high school kids. College, I haven't really liked much, but I'm not sure how much of that is because of the particular college, and also because I've almost always been on Calculus I, which is generally acknowledged as hell.
Erin job! Yay! If you need some advice on the journalism side, I was a newspaper reporter and editor and a university student publications adviser.
Useful phrases:
They won't sue you; they'll sue your parents.
Chronological order is almost never the best way to tell a story.
Most of the time, you can throw out the first paragraph.
There is no good substitute for "says" in attribution.
High school publications are not protected under the First Amendment.
Just because you can use 20 different fonts doesn't mean you should.
YAY for a job and a paycheck, Erin! My DH is off to KC this weekend, so I was thinking of you and how, since I was missing this trip, I'd not get to meet you (again). I'm also missing seeing an old friend who moved to Overland Park a year or so ago (who I haven't seen in 10 years). Boo on semesters starting and students coming back and me having to get ready for them!
Sox, are you back from your trip? or stealing Irish Internet? I suppose I could look it up in my email, but I'm feeling lazy.
Yea job, Erin!
Ginger's useful phrases are wonderful indeed.
yay for the job Erin and don't worry, you'll do great.
And maybe grow a few inches taller and get a deeper voice. (People STILL think I'm in high school. I'm 27!)
eh, fuck that noise. Yeah women who are taller and have deeper voices get more respect in college, but the students always pay more respect to men. That used to bug me, but then one day I said fuck it, I'll MAKE them respect me, and it worked.
Yay, Erin! That is great news. And those look like fun classes to teach.
No, I'm NOT a journalism major. Taught Newspaper or Yearbook? Nevah...
Well, I did create an award winning newsmagazine in High School. Ask me how! Or, rather, if you want any tips, feel free to ping.

So, #1 on speed dial, then?! Seriously, that's so good to know. I was thinking there would be some 'ffistas that would have some j-cred.
Sparky, that's too bad! Wasn't it you that loves a good limey gimlet like I do?
Edit: Hey, Hec-help, too! Awesome...
