I wonder if anyone elses head goes pervy when they see the name of this page
Um, yes, I believe it is safe to say that other brains are going to a pervy place (what? moi? no comment).
So, Timelies, All.
Ginger, soo sorry to hear of the Bad Drama this weekend. And feeling a little guilty since people keep calling it Epically bad. I didn't mean to spread my Drama Queen tendencies around, honest! Really hope you have a boring, uneventful week to come.
And I add my Yays to all the previous expressions of gladness that Kristin made the boat on time (and in first-classy comfort). Hope you enjoy your vacay!
And I add another Happy Belated to the Loveliest Deena I Know!
So, I'm still nursing a lingering cough from my Comic Con Cold, but thankfully, as colds go, this one's been pretty easy on me.
Slacker!Co-Worker is still with us, so now I have no idea if I'm supposed to continue to regard that whole "Taking Over His Job" conversation as a hypothetical, or what. Since there's not a thing I can do, I guess just riding out the Status, while it remains Quo, is the way to go.
And hey, I just got a letter in the mail this weekend telling me I made the Dean's List for the 2007-2008 school year. I reserve some degree of excitement because "just" a community college. But still - I have been recognised for the sacrifices made during The Semester That Ate My Brain!
Whoo hoo for Dean's List! That's awesome! And no, it is NOT diminished by being from "just" a Community college. It is as excellent an achievement as it would be from any school during any year/semester that your sacrificed your brain to!
Hey Hivemind, what do we think of this vest thingie? [link]
(The clothing line calls it a "bustier", but they are obviously wrong.) I like it (oooh, stripey!), and am trying to decide if I want to find one in b&w, or in black & grey.
It looks a bit short. I mean, you'd probably be wearing something under it, but it seems to be made for the midriff baring crowd. Not that you couldn't bare your midriff, it just doesn't seem to be your cup of tea.
Oh, I'd be wearing it over a blouse. And yes, it's a bit short in those photos, but my past experience with Lip Service bodices/vests/bustiers is that they're designed to be midriff-baring for people who AREN'T freakishly short-waisted like I am. So it would probably hit right at my waist.
Striiiipey. I know I should just show it to Pete and ask for his thoughts, but I'm pretty sure he'd roll his eyes and go "ugh".
Actually, I think it'd be too tight at the hips for you, and frankly, if they can't get it to fit without huge wrinkles in their promo photos what likelihood is there that it'll look any better on a real person? To see what I mean look how much it wrinkles on the side panels.
Thanks, Nora!
The vest is cute, but would obviously require jilli-izing. (And I vote black and white, the black and grey seems too...businessy, or something). I couldn't seem to get an actual price. Is it reasonable for an accessory/accent piece, since you presumably wouldn't wear it as just a top?

But I wants a stripey vest! I needs more stripey clothes!
(All of you are laughing at me, aren't you? I can tell.)
I'm actually agreeing with Pete, Jilli. It wouldn't fit me right at all, which means it won't fit you. (I'm basing this off of our sharing The Jacket and the vesty thingy that's... kind of on order, yes?)
However, something like that made to your specifications? Would be awesome and you should have it.
All of you are laughing at me, aren't you?
Nah, I think it's pretty much a law of the universe that Jilli Needs More Stripey Clothes.
