Oh, Ginger. That sounds just miserable. You're feeling better, though?

It looks like my cell phone got water damage yesterday during our storm (when I decided to make a run for my car from Target because it wasn't letting up). I can't afford a new phone. Grrr...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, Ginger, that sounds miserable.

One of the nice things about yesterdays game is that we had a huge turnout from the other Albany all-star teams. We had about six kids from the 12 y.o. team, and we had almost the entire 10 y.o. team out there.

Several of the 10 y.o.'s were on Emmett's team last year, so it was good to see Jordan and Eli and Liam. And the 12's were teammates in majors this year, so we all knew them as well.

There were parents there whose kids were very active in Albany LL ten years ago, just showing up because we were playing for our first state title.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Isn't that a great feeling, that support of the community? With K-Bug's varsity team, I was always surprised when we would go to away games and NO parents from the other team would be there. For our play off and NCS games, the boys baseball team and others from the school community would come and cheer. Nothing like a freaking STATE CHAMPIONSHIP, but that larger sense of team is awesome. I woulda been there in a heartbeat! Still all bouncy when I think about what they have accomplished.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Birthday Felicitations, oh most magnificent of Deenas! All good things wished for you.

I woke up cold this morning. Which hardly ever happens. As I puttered around I realized my back and especially my left shoulder seemed especially chilled, almost tingly, like having fallen asleep, which you know, just weird. I reached to rub my shoulder, and my t-shirt was...wet?

So I checked my bed, and yup, where the mattress touches the wall, the mattress was wet, the pillows were wet--even the wall was wet.

Sometime during the night either the condenser froze, or it's been so humid the catch pan overflowed from all the moisture the AC unit in the window above my bed dehumidified from the indoor air. It came down the wall and soaked into the mattress, pillows, and *me*. Brrr.

So the mattress is out sunning on the deck, as are the pillows, and the bedclothes and t-shirt are in the wash, and DH has disassembled, cleaned, checked, and reassembled the AC. Exciting stuff, my life.

Also, Ginger, I'm glad you're feeling better. And I'm especially glad you have power back. No wonder the dog was scared. That's a lot going wrong at once.
