Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence. Spike: Well, wishes just happen to be horses today.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

All previous people seemed to think that a deadline was kind of a vague idea of when something should be done, and missing it was no big deal.

If you also throw in micro-managing, this is my boss.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I don't know if it will or not, but she'll have a harder time ignoring it.

See, she hides stuff from us so that she won't have to admit he's a douche so she doesn't look dumb for being with him.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

If it were me and my BF knew my boyfriend were cheating on me, I'd want that friend to tell me.

Mostly lurking...

I'm with Burrell. I'd be really upset with a manipulated situation.

I would LOVE to just say "hey, you didn't get your stuff in on time, you don't get to present", but that would cause a world of shit.

i'm completely 100% with Burrell. though, by the sound of it, your BFF seems a bit like an ostrich with her head in the sand.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm with Burrell. I'd be really upset with a manipulated situation.

Given the history, though, I think the straightforward approach isn't going to go any better, and may actually have more blowback for Daisy. I think I'd probably go ahead and invite and let things play out as they may.

meara - Jul 28, 2008 2:55:53 pm PDT #9028 of 10001

Sadly, Daisy, it doesn't sound like anything is getting through to her--but I'd be tempted to invite the people and just see what happens, anyway...

Vortex, is there ANYTHING you can do to punish the people who are late? Do you have any power in this situation? Cause damn, that's just shitty. "Oh, I decided your deadline wasn't important and told the students to ignore it without talking to you"? WTF? "Well, I decided you're stupid, and told the students to quit listening to you"

no, it's not graded, it's for my summer program. I'm going with disappointment, because I am. The utter lack of respect for me and the deadline is depressing.
