Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Wow, tough day for the Bitches.

meara:

Ouch Ginger, I'm so sorry you had to have the oral surgery. I hope you feel better soon.

Poor Sail! Tons of hairpats. I caused two fender benders within my first year in LA, and man was that a horrible feeling. I’m glad you're okay.

Bonny, I'm sorry you’re dealing with a bad landlord. It's so frustrating to feel like your home isn’t the sanctuary it should be.

Cabil, that really does suck. I’m sorry your happiness is being sullied by politics.

Nicole, I hope the removal of the drainage tubes turned out to be less painful than you thought. I'm very glad you're home and feeling more human, at least.

Sorry you're having a bad day, vw.

Toddson, I don't have advice, but I hope your friend's niece is okay.

Cat~ma to askye. I hope she perks up for you soon.

I, too, want to go to Vortex's for cocktails.

Woot, Scrappy! Go you with the fabulous weight loss!

JZ, I am officially thwapping BGH with a very large cluestick.

Aims, AWW! You may have lost the baby, but you've got a little girl!

Poor GC! I hope your headache goes away soon.

t waves to ND & company

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

JZ's boss sounds like a right pillock! I second the email thing.

On this diet thingie, I am forced to eat an obscene (for me, Carb Girl, anyway) amount of fruits, veggies and dairy every day. You know, healthy food.

Intriguing! What diet is this?

Speaking of the diet thingie, 11 lbs down and fitting into the jeans from last year. 15 lbs to go.

Fantastic! Congratulations, you!

Ngah. Last night was the final night of our little 6-night run. (We've still got more than 70 people on a waiting list, though, who wanted tickets but couldn't get them before they sold out - so if we'd been able to book the room again, we could totally have gone on again tonight!)

I'm really going to miss these people!

:(

(see! See! I have to resort to emoticons because my words are broken! Although that could be the only 4 hours' sleep issue...)

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

JZ, I agree with what meara said. On the one hand, BGH knows things said are getting back to you. On the other hand, you're confronting the situation without being confrontational. Wise meara.

I third this.

Happy Birthday, Sean!

I'll have to try the potassium thing. Maybe I should have a tiny handful of cashews or pretzels or something to satisfy my tastebuds' need for salt and crunch, and then eat a banana? Because y'all should see the face I'm making at the thought of drinking a V8...

Fay is me. (I can't decide between a :-( and a :-) to follow that statement. :-( because tired and broken words. :-) because who wouldn't want to be Fay? I'm going to stop now before I use up my lifetime emoticon quota.)

In meme news, despite being on a pill that eliminates periods altogether, my body has decided that it is HAVING A PERIOD. Whether I want it or not. I'm giving up and going off the pill for a week. Fighting it seems to just be making the symptoms worse.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

despite being on a pill that eliminates periods altogether, my body has decided that it is HAVING A PERIOD.

Kristin, this is why I can't be on those kinds of pills. Apparently, my body has a deep desire to host the running of the Communists every month.

Ginger, I didn't read your whitefont, but I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Huzzah for diets succeeding! Always a satisfying thing.

Frustrating. I can't complain too much, though. I'm usually good for at least 3-4 months before this happens. Blech, though. I hate this cramps shit. What's up with that?

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

JZ, you need to find some emails to send first thing in the morning, with the time stamp, that the BGH will see. You might have to save one from the day before and resist the urge to get everything done before you go home, but if that's the time BGH is paying attention to, you can play the game.

I agree with this. The Obviously Timed E-mail ploy is bullshit, but if it's what BGH wants, then do it.

seconding Teppy. This is good practice too if you work from home. "See? I'm here! Pushing (your) Buttons."

Oh CRAP! I was so excited that I didn't have to be at work until 11 tomorrow since the exam I'm giving isn't until 1:30. I just realized that I have a meeting. At 7:40. t cries and cries

Totally. Send an email, stop by and pop your head in his office for something stupid once in a while, make sure your purse or something is sitting out on your desk in the am if you have to get up for something. Such stupid shit, but sometimes you gotta do it.
