Um, wow, just caught up after a long time away.
Hugs, hugs, and more hugs to ND, SeanK, my darling Kristin and anyone else who needs em. Really wish i were there to bring over tasty, nourishing food and bathe the kitten for you. it isn't fun, but i'm pretty good at it.
And i somehow missed Meara in PDX :( Oh well, i've been a big bundle of zero fun for months now. Wondering what happened to my fun self....and how to find her again.
Attempted dying my hair over the weekend, cuz i'm displeased with the "growing out" phase (now in year two since hair donation) and wanted some excitement. Bad. Bad. Not good. Dumb. Should have paid more attention to the dye box: permanent. Not gonna wash out. Displeased. Was supposed to be a nice rich dark red, but all it did was erase all highlights and depth and color complexity from my hair and leave it a boring, dull, same-color mass that feels *wrong* texturally when i wash it. Not pleased. Never dying my hair a "normal" color ever again. At least purple eventually washed out....
Trying to decide about job situation, boy situation, life situation, everything. Mid-life crisis continues unabated even after whole quitting career and moving gambit. (tho i do hope this is NOT my midlife, would like to make it just a wee bit longer....)
Buffista academy is a fantastic idea and would be an excellent preparation for post-apocalyptic compound. I'm thinking like the academy in X-men...but even more self-contained, with plenty of gardens and pretty secure spaces. I can teach croquet and synchronized swimming to up the awkward, intellectual sporty factor. (Contrary to all logic about depriving the brain of oxygen, synchro swimmers tend to be obscenely overly intellectual, nerdy, artsy, and have super high GPAs. Can also help with some teaching. My MFA ought to be useful for something. )
More *hugs* and ~ma of many kinds to all what needs em.
