I am vibing for you from afar, ND. It sounds as if you are doing more than enough. Of course you know that you will get through this, but damn, I wish it wasn't so hard get through.
Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Connie! I'm so glad you didn't get to the pharmacy in time - scary.

Pretending to be cheery when you're feeling so exhausted and emotionally drained is one of the most difficult things you can do. I'm glad you'll get at least a brief break tomorrow night. And I'm so sorry you can't just have the time to miss your dad without worrying about everything else. It's just not fair. I love you, sweetheart. I will support you in any way I can, even if that just means letting you be sad sometimes.
Connie, that's terrifying. I'm so glad you caught it in time.
MM, I'm sorry about the student loan. I believe you will find a way to go back to school eventually, fwiw.
Ongoing {{{{ND}}}}. And more where that came from.
Continued ~ma, Drew.
connie, that near-miss must have been very scary.
I have a part time librarian who is very difficult to manage because (in my non-medical, unqualified opinion) I believe he has Asperger's or something similar. He was hired 15 years ago by my predecessor to work in Public Services and the difficult to manage part is that he just doesn't have that air of approachability one likes to find in their Reference Librarian when one has a question. The students complain about him and every Friday we have a discussion about how his behavior is off-putting. Today we discussed how he can't enter an occupied study room without knocking/saying anything and close the blinds. One of the first conversations I had with him was about how he couldn't turn all the lights off in the Reference room and close the blinds. I've now told him he's not allowed to touch any of the blinds in the library.
He needs to be let go, but the Big Boss won't let me get rid of him (yet).
Start the paper trail.
I'm being cheery and positive about things around the house bit I'm weary and tired and sad. Also, I miss my Dad.
{{{ND}}} I really feel for you right now 'cause I know how hard it is to be really missing one parent while trying to be strong for the other one. You will get through this.
In happier news, I just got two batches that "absolutely, positively have to be there overnight" out the door. Of course, it was supposed to be three, but I'm only human people.
glad the universe stood in the way , connie.
ION that is silly and fustrating I have dropped the same giant vanillia yogurt container on my carpeted kitchen floor. gross

Oh, Drew. I hope you are able to mourn your dad and take care of you soon. Or have the freedom to cry or drink or freak out or do whatever you need to do.
My heart is breaking for you. I've seen too many (adult) children lose and mourn their fathers (relatively unexpectedly) this year. My thoughts are with you, with all of you. I'm so sorry.
{{{Drew}}} I hope you can get some time for yourself to mourn and rest soon. I can't imagine how hard it must be to pretend you are fine with all you're going through.
