Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Don't forget Cheney, universe. He deserves a karma sandwich too.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Jilli, I love the idea of #2 being a shawl and a shrug, but #3 would look really cool with black&pink (plus, it's free).

Our wings are not tired

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Then #3 sounds perfect!

{{{Drew}}} I really want the universe to give you a break.

not your mom's socks.

{{Drew}}.

The jobs they are getting are in center city so they are interested in something on a train line, at least.

from my understanding (far from completely reliable)

Chestnut Hill = Roland Park/Fells Point

Mt. Airy = Lauraville

East Falls = Butcher's Hill

Manayunk = Hampden/Charles Village

Bryn Mawr = Guilford

Wayne = Homewood

Swarthmore = Homewood

Fairmount/Art Museum = Bolton Hill

Society Hill, Rittenhouse, & Old City = really expensive

All of these are one one train line or another - www.septa.com has a great map. If they're interested in a walkable neighborhood, they can look up any of these on [link] - nearby restaurants, schools, libraries, and more are highlighted.

eta - breaks r gud.

I think I've now called on all the insurance policies and those are working on getting claims forms sent to the house. I just left a message with his financial adviser so hopefully that call will go easily enough as well.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

On hold with insurance company now. Woohoo!

What's the Muzak song? "Girl from Ipanema"?

Rock out to it, man. Rock out.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

I told the universe 2008 was finished. No more bad stuff! How dare it not listen!

Bad universe. bad...Bad...BAD! (I fear the universe may be into S&M, though, and might actually enjoy my scoldings using my 'teacher voice')

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Dear Universe- please turn your malicious intentions on one who deserves them. You know who I mean.
