Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We have also escape-proofed the back yard so Mr. Cranky Three-Legged-Pants

And because I'm severely coffee-impaired at the mo, I'm seeing Byron wearing one of Jilli's custom "Cranky" bloomers, thereby rendering him more cranky.

Damn, I really need my coffee.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

c'mere Joe. She says I get to cuddle with you Chicago style in 5 places while singing U2 songs or something.

I'm a tad afeared of what "Chicago style" cuddling entails. And I don't know if I'm limber enough to do it in five places.

And I'm not a big U2 fan.

In short, o_a...I'ma pass, but thanks.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I haz a picspam: New Dress!

That's in our backyard. No good reason for taking them or for posting them, except I'm trying not to fear my own photgraphic image.

Writing about the actual stuckness...what it feels like, what it looks like, darkest imaginings, etc. might help to break some of the lock the fear has on you.

It's an interesting concept, bonny-- although something I think would be better served by writing longhand in my paper journal. That's been one of my tricks in the past to unstick myself-- there's something about writing longhand that I find more freeing-- the not being able to go back and delete and stress over making something "just so."

As weird as it may seem, there may actually be a 'benefit' in being frozen right now.

Who knows? Anything is possible. Could be that once I get past this, I may become even more productive than I usually am. Thanks for the suggestions.

bonny, good to see your font.

Nora, you and your tree look lovely. I am a huge fan of the wrap dress.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It seems wrong to me that someone as adorable as Nora has body-image demons.

Compassionately intolerant

Preferred outcome vibes coming your way Barb. Good luck.

Nora, seriously, the reflecting in the garden picture is frameworthy. Just lovely. And great dress!

Spark. How the heck are ya? Things are better around here...now that I'm over my week-long cold. The dark days seem to be behind me...to the degree that I actually did a craft project yesterday. I haven't created anything of beauty in more than a year...maybe longer. I'm taking that as a good sign.

Howze the sassy girl?

Sassyfrassy is doing very well. She warmed up to my niece and nephew who were visiting last weekend pretty quickly when she realized they'd scritch her endlessly. Also, I have a kennel to recommend if anyone needs one out this way on your client list. She spent 3 nights/4 days there and came back clean, happy and gastro-intestinally a-okay. (And she charged me by the nights, not the days.)

I see that Big Bad Woof is having not-happy hours on the last Saturday of every month from 1-5 (4?) with trainers, etc. You want that I should drop your name?
