Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

Hair: My dream hair looks like Melissa Leo's hair, but that would take about five processes because my hair is blonde and straight and hers is red and curly.(And looks awesome long, which mine never has. It's so hot when she straps on her Glock and ties her hair back.) Tep, I totally get it, being that I'm also a blonde and when I used to get my hair cut professionally and asked for the short, bouncy styles that my hair seems to like, the whole shop acts as if I threw out crown jewels. It's weird to be part of a collective cultural...fetish(?)

Hello, all. It was a good trip. The funeral was almost secondary to reconnecting with my sisters, except for that fact that we attended a funeral and did some clean up of Mother's old apartment. More stories to tell, but I figured I'd post some of my pictures.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Connie, I'm glad that your trip was better than expected.

Go, Emmett! That's some serious baseball playing, there.

I'm glad the trip went well, Connie.

Your pictures made me homesick. When I lived in Philly, I had a couple of good friends who grew up in rural Pennsylvania who took me home with them for holidays and such, and I loved those long green ridges and deep valleys. It's a landscape that embraces you. I love it here, too, all the rugged hills and jagged mountains and the hint of wildness even in the most urban landscapes, but I do miss that gentle Pennsylvania beauty.

I may not have always gotten along with the people, but I've always loved the land.

Yeah, there's no place else quite like it.

That's often the silver lining of a funeral. I'm glad it had that positive for you.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

David, that was some great writing! Baseball Digest should hire you. I was picturing the whole thing, with a film grainyness to it, like NFL films or something! And hoo-rah! Emmett and team pulled it out! That is AWESOME!!!

I'm just getting home now. I should have ages ago, but so glad I didn't. Spent the evening with Daisy Jane and friends. And the night with her husband showing me one of the best places in Dallas. Hot damn. Nice little jazz club, and it's kinda close to my apartment too! I will be heading back there. And he introduced me to a bunch of cool folks. Much better than watching cable. Screw you Time Warner.

OK, with that, I should have been asleep 2 hours or so ago. I hope I'm not grumpy tomorrow!

Thanks, omnis! Man, I don't want to live in Dallas no-how, but I am still jealous that you get to go out drinking with Daisy.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Screw you Time Warner

bears repeating.
