Mal: How drunk was I last night? Jayne: Well I dunno. I passed out.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

brillig

I may not have always gotten along with the people, but I've always loved the land.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Yeah, there's no place else quite like it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The funeral was almost secondary to reconnecting with my sisters

That's often the silver lining of a funeral. I'm glad it had that positive for you.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

David, that was some great writing! Baseball Digest should hire you. I was picturing the whole thing, with a film grainyness to it, like NFL films or something! And hoo-rah! Emmett and team pulled it out! That is AWESOME!!!

I'm just getting home now. I should have ages ago, but so glad I didn't. Spent the evening with Daisy Jane and friends. And the night with her husband showing me one of the best places in Dallas. Hot damn. Nice little jazz club, and it's kinda close to my apartment too! I will be heading back there. And he introduced me to a bunch of cool folks. Much better than watching cable. Screw you Time Warner.

OK, with that, I should have been asleep 2 hours or so ago. I hope I'm not grumpy tomorrow!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thanks, omnis! Man, I don't want to live in Dallas no-how, but I am still jealous that you get to go out drinking with Daisy.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Screw you Time Warner

bears repeating.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just got to the end of the second season of Little Mosque on the Prairie. Stupid cliffhangers.

ION, I give up on sleep. The past few weeks, some days, I sleep at night. Some days, I sleep during the day. Some days, I sleep for about 20 hours straight. Some days, I'm awake for 20 hours straight. I think I'm averaging somewhere around 12 hours of sleep a day. This is exactly what I felt like last year around this time, when I started going to a zillion different doctors who did a whole bunch of tests and found several things wrong with me, all of which I'm now being treated for, but none of the things they found wrong with me had fatigue as a symptom. I give up.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad you were able to make a new connection with your sisters, Connie, and that you had a safe trip.

Mostly lurking...

Sox, I thought we talked about checking your e-mail too early!

Connie, I'm glad the trip was as good as can be expected...and glad you made it home safe and sound.
