[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

Good luck vibes for Hec and Emmett.

I'm at LaGuardia, waiting for them to announce a gate for our flight. We got here way early and I saw what's quite possibly the biggest writer's nightmare ever-- they have a Borders in the concourse and some poor local writer was having a signing.

At a Borders.

In LaGuardia.

::shudders::

Scrappy, I'm seeing one realllly bad review happening although I think I would've paid good money for a pic of the midnight bike ride-rave.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Emmett and Matilda continue to kill me ded.

We drove to Pioneertown yesterday (near Palm Springs) to see Kristin Hersh play in the desert. On the way up, we stopped at the outlet mall in Cabazon and bought cool shit and then took pix with the dinosaurs! Kristin was amazing as always and the location was just incredible. Desert rocks and cacti and a beautiful Moroccan style house. Then we drove home at 10PM. The end.

Art Crawl!!!

Hec and Emmett: Good luck with Sectionals!

It is still humid but less so than yesterday - also, I think not as hot.

My eye caught this, and I thought, "Wow, GC called me amazing! Wait a sec...when did I see her last?"

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I could have told you about shitty Time Warner, omnis. As I am currently without either cable or internet since-oh, Monday.

I did just reply to you. I'm using the free wi-fi at the bar.

Hell of a weekend. My cell will only accept calls, no internet or cable, and I have to go get my car from the pound.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm going nuts without my laptop. I'm glad I can use The Boy's ye olde desktop, but I will be dancing in the streets when I get the laptop back (Tuesday after work).

In the meantime, I'm going to go to the grocery store and get stuff to make quiche and zucchini bread and then fire up the stove. It's 95 out, but the a/c is kicing ass, so I might as well bake some goodies.

Eep! Techno-evils being heaped upon my peoples! No love! No laptops no cellphones, even no cars? That's not fun!!

I have been sleeping in too much of late, I don't know why. Yesterday and today, sleep sleep sleep. Not good, shouldn't need this much sleep! This morning, I woke up a little before my alarm all "shouldn't the alarm have gone off? No, twenty more minutes..." and then slept some more...then woke up again "that's way more than 20 minutes" and it had been an hour and a half! I'm not sure if the alarm didn't go off or if I magically turned it off in my sleep! Meant I did not get up in time to go cheer on my friend at the finish line of his triathlon!!! Now I feel like a bad friend. Sigh.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Ugh. Why did I wait until the afternoon to go grocery shopping? It was 75 degrees this morning, but it's 93 now. I really don't feel like walking to the grocery store.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I think I'm having one of those days. Now I can't find the Target receipt to exchange trash cans. The one I purchased is a wee bit too tall. Dang it.

Fuck it! I'm heading to meet DJ!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I gotta say, pics of Emmett and Matilda on the slide definitely make up for a lot of cruddiness in life. Not that I am having a particularly bad day, but there were a certain amount of behavioral issues at work today - more annoying than anything else, but still... I'm grateful for a reason to smile.

Congrats, Susan!

Safe journey home, Barb.
