[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

ION, and semi-xposted with Great Write, I won second place in science fiction/fantasy at the Pacific NW Writers Association Literary Contest tonight!

When I got home from the winners' after party with editors and agents, Annabel was still awake. She and DH had gone to the aquarium this morning, and she'd been waiting up to tell me about the giant octopus and to give me the key chain with my name on it she'd picked out from the gift shop. I gave her my name tag with the finalist and second place ribbons (which I'd promised her after I came home still wearing the badge on Thursday and she was admiring the finalist ribbon), along with the plush dragon I got for her at the bookstore room. She loved both gifts, and it was just a very good mommy moment, somehow.

not your mom's socks.

The general consensus about the gazpacho was that it was too sweet - DH classified it, alarmingly, as 'dessert soup'.

Happy travels Jessica!

Fifteenthing the milkshake suggestion Sean.

Iiiinteresting dinner last night.

Susan, that's awesome! And yay for good mommy moment. That sounds totally precious.

My boys are still sleeping. I should be taking the time to work, but instead I'm playing on my new time-suck. I knew I should have never joined Facebook!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Morning, all.

Woke up crazy early today. Trying to clean my house, but my motivation is so, so not here. But my house is so, so messy, so I am doing the 5 thing rule: pick up five things, clean for 5 minutes, whatever. Just do five.

Usually this results in me just cleaning for a while, after the first couple of 5-things stops and starts. I feel that I will have several stops and starts today.

More coffee. GRONK. Muffin. Nom.

I'm with you on the needing coffee, Erin. I feel like there's just not enough in the world today.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

I'm up and have had breakfast. I've wasted time looking for info on how to change my bicycle saddle. Some interesting and fun things out there, including this saddle for "real men".

I hope it's not eleventy-billion degrees out there already.

“Not dead yet!”

Going home today! Well at least my mom's. So I get to hug my boy today. Tomorrow I get my husband, my dogs, & my bed.

Our wings are not tired.

Congrats, Susan. How lovely to have AB to share your joy that way.

I enjoyed poking around the interesting 'real men' saddle site.

It's raining here. I really hope it lets up soon. In about 45 minutes 700+ motorcycles should drive by on their annual charity Ride for Kids. The whole town will be out to cheer them on.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Congratulations Susan!

Erk, I need a cup of coffee too, I hope it's done brewing soon.
