[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

What a PITA, Vortex!

I decided that my day was lowlevel suckariffic to leave work early and come home to hang out with the cat and watch friends and eat chocolate. I get my hair cut in a couple hours, hopefully that will be a positive experience and not continuing the general suckitude of the day.

I am watching the Friends ep when they do the quiz for the apartment. "That's MISS Chanandler Bong!" But really the whole scene is hilarious.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

I interrupt people's bad day to show my photo from my tri finish, because I kind of like it. [link]

Strong finish, d!!! You look fantastic and it is very inspiring!!! (I'm supposed to run a marathon in January and haven't started training yet at all. am freaking out a bit.)

Hey, the reason I don't look all red in the face was because I actually walked the run. But it does look like a strong finish. I'm a little motivated myself! Which is good because the olympic tri is coming up in 2 months.

Good luck with your marathon training! That's very exciting! I can't fathom running that many miles. Although I did just get ChiRunning to see if I can find any joy.

I stay up late every night to watch the Friends reruns. I still don't like Sex and the City though.

Since I got caught up in me (sorry!), {{Sean}} hope you get naptime and a little brighter day soon. Ugh to Vortex's aborted bitch-fest and Chikat's swim.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

meara-ette:

That's a fantastic picture, d! Radiant with strength.

Wee lisah is indeed adorable, and looks just like grown lisah. I'm pretty sure I saw the same grin about ninety times at brunch the weekend you were here.

{{{Sean}}}

{{{TomW}}} Job-hunting is brutally un-fun. Please do not funk again (unless you do it in the style outlined above).

And, Vortex, blech on the sneaky asshole boss.

Completely shallowly, I want all the shoes in Susan's link (well, maybe not that very last pair of sort of fancified loafers, but definitely all the others). And the pink and black shoes are the Jilliest things I've seen in a very, very long time.

Personal update: I need to kick my own ass and get in gear to finish up a small but crucial project at work that I'm dragging my heels on due to an aversion to anything accounting-related. I really, really need to do this thing and I'm sick of my own waffly bullshit avoidance. It isn't even a big deal; I'm just having a horrible time making myself do it already.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

d, you look great! Congratulations again.

People are bugging me about wedding stuff again. I want to respond to them all that we're eloping because it's about us and not them, and that we'll let them know when we figure out what we're going to do.

Jilli, if you know anyone with crocheting skills, you should point them at the link above to the snood site. There are also several patterns for Victorian-style crocheted bags that would probably look very good done in black and jet beads.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

d, very cool.

Vortex, crazy! I had lunch with my boss today too, but I like him, so not quite the same.

Sean, I hope you got some rest before heading out to work on Shakes. Give a kiss to Mark for me. And if you need someone to talk with, call me. It's free, both being AT&T and all. And sounds like you need it.

Aims, congrats on the scholarship. We all knew you're a smart ass.

Happy Birthday wishes too, hopefully not too late.

Shit, it's hard to pull a Meara on the iPhone.

ION- I haz big screen TV now. Soon I'll be watching Firefly in HD!

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I hope you got some rest before heading out to work on Shakes.

I didn't really get any sleep, but I laid in bed for about an hour or so with the lights off and rested a little, anyway.

Mostly, I just hope I make it all the way through TDK tonight.
