Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Aims and I are currently planning on dressing as the Joker and Harley Quinn for Halloween. (Yes, I will be the Joker. I don't have the legs for Harley.) Which means I will have to/get to shave off my moustache and goatee.

You could always go the Cesar Romero route and just white over the facial hair.

sorry about the stupid people who didn't realize Tom's genius, but this conjures up images of star shaped sunglasses and platform glitter boots.

Vortex and I are sharing a brain today. Definitely sorry to hear the interview didn't go well.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

No. No, I couldn't.

brillig

I'd like to use a snood.

Snoods are cool. For a few summers with the long hair, I wore one constantly. Tons of complements. How are you with crocheting? I have a 1940s craft book around here that has a pattern for a snood.

Happy Birthday, Juliana!

Yay good news, Aims! That rocks!

Teppy is not an asshole. I agree with what you've said a lot, fwiw.

Jessica, after reading your last post about your DH, I'm just wondering...when did you and Drew sneak off and get married?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

when did you and Drew sneak off and get married?

Aw man, it was supposed to be a surprise!

Aww, that's a shame, Nora, but pretty surprising that he got any feedback at all. Usually place just don't even call you until you're phoning them pathetically a couple weeks later and they're like "yeahhhhh, we're not going to have you back in" and that's all the feedback you get.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIANA!!!!

I'm feeling very chuffed at work right now - I recut a couple of videos from a potential production partner (the ones they sent us were way too long and kind of unfocused, so I was asked to tighten them up so we could send them back and say "yours should be more like this") and have since been cc'ed on a flurry of very complimentary emails back and forth from the higher-ups. It's nice to be appreciated once in a while!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Happy birthday juliana!

Congrats on the school $$ Aims!

Sorry that Tom is in a funk. It's never fun to have an interview process cut short.

I've never had long hair. My mom always kept is short when I was a kid because it was fine and difficult to manage (so she says). I even got mistaken for a boy once or twice (the trauma!). In college I grew it out as long as it's ever been, which was about 3 inches past my shoulders. My hair just doesn't look good long. It gets limp and shapeless and drives me crazy. I don't like myself with my hair pulled back, so I never did anything with it long. I prefer a defined style (hello, pointy bob!). And I think I just talked myself into returning to it at my next appt. My hair is almost shoulder length now and driving me crazy.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

There are times when I miss my long hair - it was almost bra-strap length when I cut it to a shoulder-length bob - because, like Jessica's, it was healthy and thick and shiny and fun to put into different styles. However, it was also fine and prone to frizz in humidity, and I think the short hair suits me better. Plus, I can dye it with impunity (or less worry, at least).
