There are times when I miss my long hair - it was almost bra-strap length when I cut it to a shoulder-length bob - because, like Jessica's, it was healthy and thick and shiny and fun to put into different styles. However, it was also fine and prone to frizz in humidity, and I think the short hair suits me better. Plus, I can dye it with impunity (or less worry, at least).

I was up until almost four in the morning, having cocktails and playing rock band with a coworker. It was just to hang out and have fun, and also as practice for staying up about as late tonight, since I'm seeing TDK at 12:30, and it's probably 2 1/2 hours.

The problem with this plan? Even exhausted, I have a hard time sleeping in daylight. And I am now up.

I have a feeling I'll be catching a bit of a nap.

Also? I am physically and emotionally exhausted. Been going through some very rough stuff lately, though I've been keeping it pretty quiet since others have been going through tougher stuff than me.

I recut a couple of videos from a potential production partner (the ones they sent us were way too long and kind of unfocused, so I was asked to tighten them up so we could send them back and say "yours should be more like this") and have since been cc'ed on a flurry of very complimentary emails back and forth from the higher-ups. It's nice to be appreciated once in a while!

That is AWESOME, Jess. Not just appreciated, but appreciated for editing. That brought a smile to my face this morning.

I'm exhausted. We are totally moved and free of our old lease. It was not fun, and we didn't get compensated for our work to get out of there on short notice...but we have karmic justice. And are rid of the landlords.

Now it's just (a few months of) unpacking boxes.

I had short hair through most of my childhood and I LOVED being mistaken for a boy! I thought it was cool. I really wanted to be a tomboy but wasn't really. I loved dolls too much! ha
