I think everyone should wear what feels good to them -- and that its even more important than what looks good on them.
Silly, did you learn nothing from "Fernando's Hideaway"?
"Saludos, my friends. How are you, darlings? It is so lovely to be back, here in the Hideaway. And, as you know, my friends.. as you can see, the booth is empty, and I am very upset. I don't feel marvelous. I look marvelous, but I don't feel marvelous. Which is hokie-dokie for me, because, as you know, my credo is "It is better to look good than to feel good." You know what I am saying, and you know who you are.
I missed why hope it will be a fun trip.
Totally for fun. Going to visit my friend in my Grad program. I'm PM-ing you if you have time and want to meet or have time for a bite or something. I'll be there around 10:30 tomorrow morning and am planing on staying until Saturday morning.
I figure it is enough time to visit with everyone and leave with enough time for them to still get work done before classes start, again, Monday morning.
I am about 90% packed. The rest of the stuff can be done in the morning.
I remember the Chrissy doll, beth.
Now that the plantar fasciitis in my right foot has cleared up, apparently, I'll be having it in my left foot now. So much for the summertime joy of walking to the downtown shopping district then to the farmers' market. I tried it today, and now I'm hobbling.
IOfarmers'marketN, I am noshing on bread made from freshly milled flour, with butter and honey. There's some soft beef jerky smoked over Wyoming mesquite in the fridge for Daniel. None of the green beans, onions or zucchini jumped into my arms from any of the stalls.
Hivemind law quesion: Are spouses exempt from estate taxes regardless of the amount?
Probably, but I would assume that most spouses have joint tenancy which would exempt much of their property from consideration in estate taxes. For example, a house owned jointly wouldn't factor into the estate, it would just pass directly to the spouse.
K, thanks. We're just trying to make sure Drew's mom doesn't end up slammed with taxes this year. I'm sure it will be all right.
Actually, now I've googled. You should see this: [link]
I have had my hair very long and fairly short, and I liked both. (Although the practically-shaven thing I did when I was 13 or so was DREADFUL. I looked like Uncle Fester.)
These days I'd be fairly nervous of having it long again, because it's so much thinner than it used to be & (1) I don't think it would look so good, whilst (2) I'd be scared stiff of the extra weight making it more inclined to fall out.
It's weird, the number of men who think short hair on women is appalling. Not just not attractive on that particular woman, but philosophically inadvisable.
Yeah - this isn't weird. It's just oldskool sexism. Signifiers of femininity = things that make you vulnerable. I think his drag-you-off-to-the-cave-by-your-hair comment was fairly honest assessment of the appeal.
That's excellent, thank you. (Megan's link, not oldskool sexism.)
