Cautious optimism can be a good thing, Calli. Continued ~ma for your dad and your whole family.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
No, that price was just for me.
Oh, dang. That sucks, I'm sorry.
Calli, much ~ma to you and your family.
I'm so sorry Drew. But I'm glad you were there and he was home.
I'll try not to make things Calli's Cancer Show all the time, now that I've just recently rejoined b.org.
We can handle it.

When's the last time you were in PA, Connie? Was that 25 years ago?

Do they do a discount when you're traveling to a funeral for a close family member? Do airlines do that anymore? (I know Southwest doesn't but that's because they are generally so reasonably priced. Even if you are traveling on very short notice.)
Bereavment fares are awful. Very rarely any kind of decent discount. If you have them, you are better off using frequent flyer miles (they will sometimes waive requirements for use for bereavement)
Do airlines do that anymore?
No. I had to pay full fare to go to my grandfather's funeral.
(The excuse I was given was that web prices are what most people pay, and a bereavement fare at half the *full* price of a ticket would have actually been more expensive, so most airlines have dropped them entirely.)
