[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, ND. Much peace~ma to you and your family.

And thank you to everyone for your support. I was able to talk to Dad's oncologist today. While they're still waiting on the subtype lab-work, the doctor is cautiously optimistic that Dad probably has a nodular type that can be treated with a minimally awful form of chemo. If she's right, the 5-year survival rate is over 80%. If she's wrong we'll deal with that next week.

(I'll try not to make things Calli's Cancer Show all the time, now that I've just recently rejoined b.org.)

How are you getting from Pgh to your destination?

My oldest sister will already be in town and will pick me up. She's leaving on Sunday as well, so we'll go up to the airport together.

No, that price was just for me.

Cautious optimism can be a good thing, Calli. Continued ~ma for your dad and your whole family.

I'm so sorry Drew. But I'm glad you were there and he was home.

We can handle it.

When's the last time you were in PA, Connie? Was that 25 years ago?

Pretty much. I'll only be there for two days, really, so I won't get much time to look around. But hopefully I can borrow a car and drive out to the old house and take some pictures. Hubby wants to see where I grew up.

Punishingly Intricate

I hope this turns out to be the case. And this

If she's wrong we'll deal with that next week.

Seems like the way to handle the situation. My thoughts are with you and your family.

No, that price was just for me.

Do they do a discount when you're traveling to a funeral for a close family member? Do airlines do that anymore? (I know Southwest doesn't but that's because they are generally so reasonably priced. Even if you are traveling on very short notice.)
