While they're still waiting on the subtype lab-work, the doctor is cautiously optimistic that Dad probably has a nodular type that can be treated with a minimally awful form of chemo. If she's right, the 5-year survival rate is over 80%. If she's wrong we'll deal with that next week.

Do they do a discount when you're traveling to a funeral for a close family member? Do airlines do that anymore? (I know Southwest doesn't but that's because they are generally so reasonably priced. Even if you are traveling on very short notice.)
