Also, considering that at least one marriage never took place, and one has definitely ended, I'm not sure (except perhaps in the most recent case) I actually help anyone find their lobster.
Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I need to get a Colorado driver's license, supposedly within 30 days of moving here. I'm due to fly to Boise July 22nd, returning on the 24th. I should wait until after that trip, yes? The airport won't take a paper license, will they?
I wouldn't worry about it. It's not like the police are going to come to your door. I don't know if the TSA will take a paper license, and even if they do officially, who the hell knows what the person at the checkpoint will do. Don't risk it, it's not worth it.

Heya, Bitches. I can haz tired. It was so wonderful seeing everyone this weekend, but I'm a bit frayed at the edges right now. I wish my stomach would calm down, at least. Stupid anxiety. Also, since I didn't get any of my weekly feedback emails written yet, I need to do seven tonight and eight tomorrow. Do not want.
Oh Cash, I'm so sorry to hear about Liv! Poor little boo.
Heh. It was mostly just a silly. But yes, what everyone said about Friends and Phoebe, and the cute handclaspy.
Also, Suzi, just put it off. Mostly what Colorado doesn't know won't hurt them. Sometimes you can get in trouble if you don't do it within a LONG time, but usually as long as you do it within a REASONABLE amount of time, they won't be too pissy. Just don't wait like, six months. And don't let your other license expire.
I think I'll try to renew the Friday after I get back. This trip to Boise might become a monthly thing, so hopefully the DMV here doesn't take yonks to send out the real thing.
{{Cash and Liv}} Hope she feels better quickly.
I always waited on my license until the old one was near expiration. We don't have paper temp type licenses in Florida. They make the real one while you wait. Do they do that in Colorado?
Hi Kristin. I'm sure you're exhausted. Try and take care of yourself. How is Drew doing?
We don't have paper temp type licenses in Florida. They make the real one while you wait. Do they do that in Colorado? In Connecticut, they make them while you wait. In California, you get a paper license and your old license with the expiration date hole-punched out (which does indeed render it useless--I'd wait, Suzi). It takes weeks to get the actual license in the mail, which just seems stupid to me.
How is Drew doing? He's hanging in there. He's still in San Diego with his family. His dad is still in this hospital; he's more lucid but in a lot of pain. They're setting up home hospice care and hoping to transfer his dad within the next couple of days so he can be home with his family.

Paging Nicole.... Well???
They make the real one while you wait.
Illinois, Georgia and Wisconsin all do too. My hunch is California's the outlier here.
My only worry would be not tripping some kind of requirement that ends up with you having to retake the test to get the new license. But I don't see any way for them to tell what date you moved to the state on, so I doubt it's a real issue.
Paging Hecubot! Paging Hecubot! I need hairstyle pictures. I have an appointment for a haircut with Anna the Wonder Stylist on Saturday. I'm going to get about 3" cut off the length, and I'm keeping the batwing point bangs. I think I want to get some layers added all over for volume, but I'd like some pictures for reference. Currently my hair is all one length, and reaches to my mid-back.
Noted! How did it grow so quickly? Didn't you have a lot lopped off last year?
Anyway, I'll rustle up suitable coiffing options.
