Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think I wrote at least one "big" paper a year from 4th grade on.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

(Also, and I know this sounds weird, could I Photoshop that deck picture for you? I've been teaching myself Photoshop techniques for a couple of months, and that picture is just perfect for some color boosting.)

Experiment away!

Thank you! And -- insent.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I am in Texas! I have about 400 miles to go. Which means I've traveled about 1000 since 5pm Tuesday. Tomorrow I'll sign lease on my new apt, then go shopping for a living room set. Yippee!

I decided to get a hotel for the night. Its called the Texas Inn. Its run by an Indian (Asia an continent not Native American) um. Ok. Also, no clock in the room. Gotta love it.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Sleep well, o_a! That's a lot of traveling, you deserve a break and a half.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm looking through my alumni magazine. In the "where are they now" section at the back, I love some of these old names. Ethelyn and Lizzette occur several times in the people who graduated in the twenties and thirties. Someone named Janet with the nickname Breezy. Mignon. Rennie. Tatine. Salpi. Marily. Millibeth (actually class of 1989, but fits in with the older names.) Carmelita Theresita (graduated sometime in the twenties.) Chastine. Marie "Bunny." And, my favorite, which I'm sure was only ever used in Louisiana, M'Adele.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I should have put more work into it and not left it until the last minute.

That describes almost everything I did in high school and college.

I am of the opinion that a great deal of my writing technique in essays or reporting or even term papers consists of sucking down all sorts of information, then letting my brain stew on it.

Suddenly a bell goes off and it's done, and I pour out the whole thing.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Olivia is such a lovely girl, but mein gott, she's not a baby anymore! When did that happen.

And Lilybean is gorgeous as always.

The status is NOT quo.

Gronk. We just landed in Hartford. Haven't slept yet. Hoping to get into a gate soon (we're way early, so no gate for us), grab our bags, pick up the rental car, and drive down to my mom's house. Then, there will be napping. Oh yes.

Omnis, glad you made it safely to Texas. Safe travels the rest of the way.
