I don't fancy spending the next month trying to get librarian out of the carpet.

Spike ,'Chosen'

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

no, some sort of tinkly piano stuff. i didn't listen to the whole thing

Sigh. Another plum opportunity wasted.

Perhaps providing a disturbing link could be itaing? Supplying indepth information about esoteric animals could be billyteaing?

How about disturbing links about esoteric animals?

This morning, while listening to a favorite album - They Might Be Giant's Flood - I realized that I have been a fan of this band for more than half my life! (since age 16). I started thinking about other music I liked then and how they have stood the test of time.

Well, since I've been looking for an excuse to post this, I've been introducing Wallybee to the joys of Western music. (She likes classical and opera, but the language thing has previously stopped her getting much into recent stuff.) We've been going through four CDs I put together for her (appearing below), it's been useful language practice.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Mostly lurking...

Morning!

My people clients are home, and the dogs are SO excited to see them. Molly really perked up. She's excited to have mom home. I'm gonna really miss these guys, but I think Toto is going to even more. He has loved just hanging outside in the big back yard with his buddies. I expect some serious moping over the next couple of days.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Nope, I went back to box color. Box color that I buy from Whole Foods and is less toxic than regular drugstore dyes, mind you, but it's still box color. The indigo wasn't giving me a long-lasting enough blueblack.

Good to know.

But lots of Tim Burton Victoriana and blood, which is exactly what I'm in the mood for.

These are all good things too.

Poor Toto.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I have the cherries (and ladder) but no baking skills!

Um, Miracleman?

Yes, Cash? You need the "Download Skillz Into Brain" Machine, a.k.a. the Neo-Deus-Ex-Machine?

"I know kung fu."

"Well, I can bake."

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Um, Jilli? You haven't let Clovis nip off to Germany recently, have you?

Can I have some ~ma for my friend T? She took a test that would allow her to become a teacher the other day, and she is supposed to be getting the results in the next couple of days. She missed by two points last time, and I know she is going to be just devastated if she didn't pass it this time.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

T is for Teacher-ma, sj!

Hi, Barb. I used to live in Hollywood, FL.

I had cream of wheat for breakfast, but what I really want is pastry.

Barb - Jul 09, 2008 4:30:08 am PDT #6353 of 10001
“Not dead yet!”

Offering very sleepy ~ma to your friend, sj. And am sitting here, attaching coffee IV because Jasmine, the Very Silly Lab Puppy kept me up half the night hurling.

Why? Who knows. She's a Lab, she eats everything. She could be protesting the recent arrival of Pisces in the way that only a puppy can, although goodness knows, they play well enough together.

::hugs and gropes on everyone who popped in after I toddled off to bed::

Indeed, Kristin, that dinner was more fun than any six people should be allowed to have in public. Oh, and Jilli, I showed Lewis the picture of Pete in front of the Beholder and told him that we all agreed that it should be a stuffed toy (the Beholder, not Pete). He looked at me as if I'd lost my mind. :-)

Ann, that's a ferret.

Hi, Barb!

bt, that's quite a list. Or set of lists.
