Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

Hey vw, I've seen you posting about-- I'm Fashionista_35 on LJ which is where I mostly hang my hat, but I've lurked about these parts for ages.

I think I love best that there's a Simpsons episode for pretty much everything.

And South Park covers what the Simpsons may have missed. Or at least, they used to.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My favorite Simpsons eps remain: Last Exit to Springfield, Monorail and Lisa's Substitute.

Hey, Barb!

Okay, further research indicates that Sean Gallagher is at least as good as Gaudin, possibly better. Though not nearly as good as Harden. Patterson is a good hitting second baseman whose defense may not be good enough to keep him there. (Which makes him a lot like the A's top draft pick this year, Jemile Weeks.) Donaldson is in single A, allegedly a catcher with a great bat but he's not hitting. And Murton is probably an above average outfielder. But we've got a ton of above average outfielders now with Gonzalez, Sweeney, Buck, Cunningham, Brown etc. So...I'd rather a straight up Harden for Josh Vitters, but we didn't get that.

In sum: Feh.

Even though the A's weren't going to the post-season this year, with Harden and Duchscherer starting you had a very good chance to win each time they started. It's killing my enjoyment for this year big time. I don't know how many times Beane can do this without realizing he's destroying his season ticket sales.

I'm feeling all kinds of bereft, because I don't think I know Barb. Clearly, she is someone a person would want to know. Hi! And I saw that smonster has been posting, too. Yay!

The Communards "Don't Leave Me This Way," is AWESOMECAKES.

It's my second day back from vacation. I miss vacation. It's much more fun.

Amy - Jul 08, 2008 4:39:52 pm PDT #6261 of 10001
Because books.

But when you're not on vacation, *we* get to have you here!

Remember, it's all about us. ::nods::

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

WE CAN HAZ BARB! YAAAAAY!

DH is out at a late-night screening for the second night in a row. I have eaten a delicious CSA-veggies fritatta and am currently finishing off the wine we had on Sunday before it turns to vinegar. Please to forgive in advance all typos.

I approve of vw's plan for pink highlights and recommend Special Effects Burgundy Wine. I hear it's awesome!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Lisa's Substitute.

Used to be my favorite. Then the Scorpio episode supplanted it, only to be unseated by Homer At The Bat.

Last Exit to Springfield is (or used to be) my brother's favorite episode.

ION, in a stream-of-consciousness I can't even explain, I jumped from Simpsons to Barb being here to buying Bobby Darin songs from iTunes (all the predictable ones: "Beyond the Sea," "More," and "Mack the Knife").

“Not dead yet!”

::waves to Jen, gropes Jess::

Don't mind the sillies, Jen, they just like to grope my Cuban hips. And how much am I giggling that the first things mentioned with respect to me are groping, Cabana Boys, and artists? Hee!

Abby, my daughter (10 going on 35), informed me she wants a hot pink streak in her hair. I said yes, mostly because, you know, why not, and secondly, because it'll be worth it to see the expression on my mother's face.

amych - Jul 08, 2008 4:45:10 pm PDT #6265 of 10001
Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Amy is often silly.

Well, duh.

PS I love my boy.

Well, also duh!

JenP - Jul 08, 2008 4:46:18 pm PDT #6266 of 10001

::smishes Amy::

I should clarify that vacation is much more fun than work, not than being here, which is aces.

I read Jessica's post as WE CAN HAZ BABY!...

Oh, I missed the "pink" in the highlights discussion - that would be fantastic, vw! Assuming, of course, there would be pictures.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

the chicken stew thing will be tomorrow's dinner, hopefully the slow cooker will do it justice.

Hi, Barb! I've seen you around the LJ parts as well. Welcome aboard!
