Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thelma Houston? At least that's who sings it on my copy of "Pure Disco"!

Thelma Houston! That's her. I was thinking Gloria Gaynor, but I knew that was wrong.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I kissed a girl?

My guess is yes, you have.

The Communards also had a decent cover of the Jackson 5's "Never Can Say Goodbye" that was popular on New Wave night at my college dance club, but I prefer "Don't Leave Me This Way."

Do any of you like the song "Misty Blue" by Dorothy Moore? It is probably my all time favorite ballad, and no one ever seems to know it.

I'm getting the pig!

Oh dear. I'm sorry, juliana! I should've pointed out that I definitely wasn't wanting to nag at anyone and I wasn't trying to be all Thread Cop Nicole. Honest! My post was more along the lines of waving my Whine Equality sign around.

I'll readily admit that I'm very touchy about Whine Equality after being friends with someone for many years who couldn't hold down a job and wanted to blame everyone else for her problems. I was this Evil Insensitive Bitch if I had the NERVE to claim to be broke or complain that my mortgage was killing me or whine about... well, anything. My life was supposed to be *perfect* because I had things that she didn't and that meant that I couldn't whine about anything. EVER!

Ahem. Yeah. Touchy. Sorry.

So... how about them (insert sport team name here)?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

So... how about them (insert sport team name here)?

Hee! When Suzi texted me from the Rockies game last weekend, she (or the phone) called them the Rookies. I laughed and laughed....
