Joyce: Dawn, you be good. Xander: We will. Just gonna play with some matches, run with scissors, take candy from some guy, I don't know his name.

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

sj, you're a genius! We have been trying to figure out what to do with an on-the-large side chicken (5lbs) that runs a little on the tough side (so we like to cook with a moist method) that would not get our house steaming hot in this steaming heat. I think breaking the bird down and doing some sort of slow cooker stew thing is the way to go!

Happy to help!

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

d makes me blush. Thanks. Funny, they interview me at like hour 23 or so, and of course everyhing is packed. So I couldn't listen later on. Oh well, I'll dig thru the website and find the archive. I hope they edited out my ahs and ums. There were a lot.

We also bought a lobster and cooked it ourselves!

You should have bought two and had lobster races before cooking them. That's what my first boss out of college and her husband would do on their anniversary. (She was a Psycho Boss Monster From Hell, but she had a sweet relationship with her husband.)

check your chat, Sox. Since it uses his RL name.

Safe travels, o_a!

lobster races

We'd have these every summer, too, across the kitchen floor. Poor bugs. Poor delicious bugs.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Do you at least let the winning lobster go free?

Poor bugs. Poor delicious bugs.

To quote Mike Rowe: "I know you've had a long life. But you're delicious. And I'm bigger than you. One of us is getting into that pot, and it ain't gonna be me."

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Hivemind medical question:

For the past week or so, I've had a dry cough and scratchy sore throat without any other major symptoms. It gets worse as the day progresses, especially if I talk a lot, and then gets better overnight. AFAIK, I'm not coughing at night--at least, if I am, it's not waking me or DH. ETA in general I only cough when I talk, and MAYBE if I do something like run to catch the bus, but the sore throat is there regardless.

Does that sound like allergies, even though I've never had this as an allergy symptom before, or should I call my doctor?

I really want lobster now. Maybe my palate will be appeased with Hunan shrimp.
