Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Very good points. You're probably right.

Well, I'd never presume to diagnose someone else (although I'm sure I *have*), but since my immune system is determined to kick my ass, I *do* recognize these symptoms when they show up *in me.*

The super fun part is that I've been totally off my Zoloft for 1 week today, so I'm already having withdrawal-induced BIG TIME mood swings. Add 'roid rage to that, and I am 10 pounds of crazy in a 5 pound bag.

My co-workers are calculating minimum safe distance.

My co-workers are calculating minimum safe distance.

They should play it safe and send you home to enjoy a 3-day weekend!

Mostly lurking...

I can *so* relate. And recently. My last steroid-induced crazies were added to already-stressed crazies and almost landed me inside the hospital. It's so not fun, and I'm sorry you're getting to experience it too. I never wish steroids on anyone.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Is derby big there?

I don't know about "big", but there's a local league. Aims was talking about trying to join at one point.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Steroids are evil.

Except when they're the closest thing medicine has to a miracle.

t hugs steroid shots for neuroma, tennis elbow and poison ivy

I hope it's a great day of many great days to come at your new job, Aimee.

It's just bizarre, because, like I said, I've taken this exact dose pak before, and never had this reaction.

I just looked in the mirror, and my face is WAY more flushed than it was when I left the house. It feels like a sunburn. (And I haven't been in the sun recently. Plus my makeup has a 15 SPF.) Grr.

Steroids are evil.

Right? It's just SO WEIRD that a drug that's supposed to STOP inflammation is making me all inflame-y.

My drug of choice: irony.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Plus my makeup has a 15 SPF

I had a facial recently and mentioned this same thing. The enethitician (or however you spell it) just laughed at me and asked if I reapplied it every hour.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Steroids are a special kind of evil - sure, they might save your life, but you'll be all kinds of miserable about it.

Because books.

Yay, Aims's new job! Good luck today!

Big boos for Teppy's allergic reaction and Suzi's stress, though.

::gropes Suzi idly for good measure::

Sox, I wish I knew of a mystery blog like that! I would love to find one.

Goodness, it's not like I (a) sweat it off, or (2) work in sunlight (or near a window, for that matter).
