Oh, that's AWFUL, vw. I'm dog and cat watching for two different friends next week -- out-of-state wedding (one of whom I am also house sitting for and they have a KILLAH plasma TV/surround sound system AND big cable and superfast wireless (and the dogs are easy and sweet; also, very comfortable bed).
I would feel so bad if something happened while I was watching someone else's pet. Ugh.
Top of the 17th. Manny Acosta just pulled a hamstring.
That's dreadful, vw.
Good luck tomorow, Steph. I think I would just say "I'm moving to a shorter schedule" and not go into further detail.

Doggy~ma to the one who needs it.
Braves just won. 5 hours, 35 minutes, plus a 1 hour, 20 minute rain delay. Now they have to fly to LA.
I haven't heard anything. I selfishly want to call and see how things are going, but if they're having to make hard decisions, that would be rude.
Do they text? Maybe you could send a gentle text, and they can respond if they feel up to it.
Yeah, that's true. Maybe I'll try that.
Well, I texted but haven't heard anything back. I have a bad feeling about all of this, and it breaks my heart. I feel responsible, which my brain knows is ridiculous. But, still. I'm going to feel terrible if this all happened on my watch.
Oh, honey. It would have happened no matter who was watching. It just sucks extra-special that it was you.
