[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Have you been watching Grey's lately?

Heh. Still more lesbians in my life. Less sex. More lesbians.

And yeah, HFCS is in eeeeeeeverything. I dated someone who was allergic to corn, and MAN, it's crazy.

Am currently irked because I am trying to slowly get ready to go on my trip, and need to do laundry...and someone has been doing laundry for ages. And now their stuff is done...and they haven't come ot get it out. I'm like "DAMN YOU. I need you to put your shit in the dryer so it will be done so I can put MINE in the dryer so it will be DRY by the time I need to LEAVE for the AIRPORT"

"Muy Bueno"

Con mucho gusto! (according to my Dora Spanish) Yay VW!

We went to a parade today, and then a horse show. It was muy fun... but if I see any more madras, whale embroidery, or teacup dogs I will have to do something drastic.

Trust my rage

So, I had a weird day.

First, I went with E, F, and my parents to the Indian Memorial Day Pow Wow which was awesome. There were several tribes there all dancing in their regalia - so many amazing feathers, bells, shells, animal skins, and so on. Ellie loved the drumming and the dancing and the little kids were so cute all dressed up. Several of my mom's school kids were there so that part was fun, too.

Then, I found out that my cousin, who is about 28 maybe, is in the hospital because he lit his hand on fire with lighter fluid. I don't know the full extent of his issues, but apparently there was a couple that had taken him in, sort of, and he had been having sex with the husband and the wife which led to the lighter fluid. And, in the mean time, he has admitted that he was sexually abused by my grandfather until he was maybe 10.

So, in summary - extended family messed up and sad but a very fun day with immediate family.

Mostly lurking...

Oh, Stephanie. That's tragic. I'm glad for the good parts, though.

t first world rant

I get a letter from the treasury that says "Stimulus Payment". I think, "WOOT! Money in the bank time!". I open it to see a letter telling me how much to expect and what I need to do. HELLO I FILED MY CLAIM. Don't tease me with this. I know it's on the way, just send it!!

Then I think, golly, how much MORE of our taxpayer money was wasted sending this note out to folks who already filed taxes. Printing, postage, it adds up. Stupid gov't.

Bad Wolf

The IRS website has info on when to expect your stimulus check. They are doing it by the last two digits of your social.

Thanks Victor, the funny thing is, the letter is dated 5/27, and it says to "expect your check by May 30th". Hmm. Thanks for the 3 day notice. Oh, and since I got the note on Saturday, and today is the 26th... how did you send it back in time???? Crazy I tell ya.

OK, I should be cleaning. Really. I'm gonna start now.

Thrive to spite them

Omnis - I know! I kept looking at bbq sauce, HFCS was the first ingredient in a whole bunch and not even the big names a bunch of smaller names.

I spent $60 at the grocery store and barely bought anything. Well $25 or so of that was razor blades and catfood. $9 for three blades! I need to find a cheaper alternative.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

{{{hugs}}} on family issues, Stephanie.

omnis, we got the letter notifying us we'd be receiving our stimulus payment three days AFTER the direct deposit hit our account. Great use of paper/postage, US government!

Annabel was the Queen of Crankiness from late morning through lunch, but now she's taking a nap beside me on the couch and looks all sweet and beautiful now that she's not, you know, whining and demanding something with every breath.

She's saying she doesn't want to go to the game tonight because she has a stomachache, an obviously fake one since it only comes up when we talk about going to the game and she's eating normally and showing no symptoms. My response, "Yeah, I know. The Mariners make me feel that way this season, too. But Felix is pitching, which can be good. And if it isn't this time, Manny might hit 500, and I promised some of my Boston friends we'd post pictures if he does. And besides, we skipped the last game, and we want to see our friends from our section. So you'll get over it."
