The fabulosity of this would be overwhelming.
Wow. Yeah, it really would.
I finished the last feedback email! Eight more weeks of these suckers left. I am thinking about emailing my supervisor...since they haven't processed my payroll anyway...and saying, "You know how you asked for a rough idea of my hours? Well here's what it's shaping up to be. And...well...you're paying me crap. Any chance of a raise?" Tempting.
Anyway, I'm rewarding myself by watching
Harry Potter atOotP
on Tivo tonight.
I just went to the theatre and saw Wanted. It was perfect I-have-a-slight-headache movie.
Kristin, thanks for the pep talk. I put in my resume for the job earlier and now I feel better about doing so. We shall see.
Congrats GC - go you two!!!!
Do it, Kristin. Especially if they're not yet paying you. And if they aren't paying you, don't forget to consider holding shit back until they DO start paying you. Becuase if you don't hold shit back, you have nothing to bargain with.
So, my date just left. (Yes, it's 2AM). That was fun. :) We went to the park, and had the picnic. I told her she was in charge of the entertainment. She brought scrabble. I was like "....dude". She promised if she didn't come up with something better for the next date, I was allowed to break up with her. Hah! So I told her there were stakes for the scrabble game, and if I won, she had to come to dancing. And she said if she won, I had to watch a movie of her choice. It was tense, but I won. Whoot! (I happen to know of a week coming up when GILF will not be at dancing, too, conveniently).
Then it was 11pm and the cops came by with their spotlight to remind us that the park was closed and we needed to skedaddle. And she came back to my place and we made out for about two hours. Fun!
[Edit: Also, why the hell does it smell like someone is cooking BACON outside?? It is making me really hungry...]
Yay for good dates with the making out!
Go meara! Sounds fun!
Toto update: He seems totally fine. I'll call the vet this morning, but he's hanging out with the dogs and doing fine.
in my packing, and going through boxes from the last move, I came across the photo I took of the towers back in college. The time a group of us were going to the Statue of Liberty, and they wanted to go up to the observation deck, but I knew if we did, we'd miss our ferry to Ellis & Liberty Islands. And I remember saying "They will always be there, who knows how much longer Ellis Island will still be open", and I still feel pangs about it to this day.
Sometimes having a good memory really sucks.
I also found the instructions to take apart my corner desk! Maybe I will save it after all.
Yay for Meara and make out! (I'd have let her won... well, maybe not. That's tough for me to do. Too competitive).
Yay for Toto being ok. Good thing you followed your instinct and saved CarrotBaconDude's $60.
off to bed now.
Oh, o_a, that's kind of gut-wrenching. Have you been packing all night?
In dog news, I just went and picked up my parents' dog for the day, so now I have five! Yes, I am insane. Why do you ask?
ya, its a lot cooler at night. Easier to pack and not go mad from the heat. This apartment really does suck for air movement. Why did I live here for 8 years?!?!
Ah, I see. That makes perfect sense.
