But that's just my point! You she obeys! She obeys you! There's obeying going on right under my nose!

Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Ken Henry, treasury secretary and animal conservationist, has warned that hairy-nosed wombats are "on death row".

I need to point out that he's talking specifically about the northern hairy-nosed wombat, which is indeed critically endangered, being now limited to one location, the Epping National Forest. The southern hairy-nosed wombat is classified as vulnerable, but is in better shape than the northern; and the common wombat is still living up to its name.

Because books.

vw, I'm sure he's just trying to help, and wants you to know he'll help out, too, but Molly's mom said not to worry, didn't she? I think she would know best, really.

Erin, you know good writing, though! (And you *do* write.) Even if you haven't written Pulitzer-winning novels, I think you can still talk about what makes good writing work, using examples. You can totally do it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Glad for that clarification, billytea.

bug, I wouldn't call poison control. I'd just try to talk to a vet and see what's necessary.

Also, I think Erin should move to Bangkok and teach there and have ribald adventures with Fay.

vw - if I remember lo those many years ago when I worked for a vet. The things to look for are excessive thirst, hyperactivity, excessive urination, excessive hunger and big personality changes. I'm pretty sure there's not that much to worry about. Keep an eye on him.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Totally agree with this wholeheartedly.

vw, if dog thyroid meds are anything like human ones, it takes about 6 weeks to build up the dosage in your body. One dose is extremely unlikely to cause any problems.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

vw, I would just keep an eye on him. Maybe call the vet in the AM just to ease your mind.

We picked up our marriage license this morning. Meep.

Thanks, guys.

I'm pretty sure there's not that much to worry about.

That's the sense I'm getting, so I'm going to take *my* meds and chill. Really. Any second now.
